Charming B&B on outskirts of Kenmare

We had a lovely overnight stay in the druids cottage. Our room was very clean and comfortable room and we were warmly welcomed by Phillip who gave us some excellent dining recommendations in the local village. The BnB is perfect for an overnight stay within walking distance to kenmare village, and driving distance to Killarney and west cork area.

Eine Unterkunft mit viel Charme, lieben Gastgebern und einem leckeren Frühstück

Das Druid Cottage hat unglaublich viel Charme. Das beginnt mit den Gastgebern und setzt sich fort in dem lichtdurchfluteten Frühstückspavillon. Das Zimmer war klein und kuschelig. und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Beispielhaft sei hier ein kleines Wand-Schränkchen erwähnt, das einen Wasserkocher und zwei Teetassen barg. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, man konnte es schon am Vorabend auswählen. Mit zum Inventar gehört die Hauskatze "Oreo", ein schmusiger Kater, den wir sofort ins Herz geschlossen haben.

Oreo hat sich nicht von uns verabschiedet ;-)

Definitely Bookmarking Druid Cottage. A Perfect Respite

I loved the home. I loved my fellow guests. I loved the comfort, cleanliness, and conveniences of the accomodations, the black pudding, orange juice and strong French press coffee for breakfast, but what I loved most were my hosts. Phillip and his wife took amazing care of me over my 4 night stay. I'd had a fun night my first day in town and spent the whole next day recovering. They were very kind to me and we spent the remainder of my time joking about my shenanigans. I really appreciated their sense of humor and tolerance of a silly solo traveler.

Everything was amazing. The only complaint I can come up with is the tight fit of the large key tag when locking/unlocking the room door. Twas a bit awkward. I did read from other reviews prior to my stay that the walk into town was a bit far, but that suited me well. As a solo woman the 15 minute walk was pleasant and safe, even late at night. I prefer a bit of a slower pace from being out of the main hub, but if you're wanting to be in the thick of it, consider the walk is about 10/15 minutes.

Bed was comfortable

Was told breakfast was from 9:15-11:15 went down at 10 am for my breakfast to be very abruptly told the cook was gone home, so was left with no breakfast and full cost had to be paid, staff were rude and was practically hunted out after being told there was no breakfast. Will not be returning nor will any biker in Munster.

Edge of town walking convenience with personally selected hot breakfast. Parking, multicultural conversation - what could be better?!

The perfect stay in Kenmare - highly recommended.

a wonderful experience in a charming village. Bedrooms were exquisitely decorated, clean and comfortable. Phillip and Bernadette were wonderful hosts. They will welcome you with open arms and cheerful disposition. the breakfast was yummy, particularly the full Irish breakfast. Definitely would stay again

It was an excellent B.&B. The bedroom was very nicely furnished, clean and very comfortable.

The breakfast was excellent especially the homemade bread. The location was very convenient. It was a short walking distance from the town centre. The B.&B. itself was lovely and very nicely furnished.

Great host, very comfy, a perfect place to stop!

The host was amazing, very nice, warm, welcoming. A wonderful host! We loved the house and its essence. The bed was very comfortable! I took poached eggs for breakfast and they were PERFECT!

Breakfast is in a joint table, we actually loved it (we met new people and exchanged some travel tips), just noting it here in case someone doesn’t like to share table. We loved it!

Great jumping off point for Ring of Kerry

We liked that we could walk into Kenmare, although it was a little bit of a trek. It was nice we had some dinner options and the walking path was easy to use. It was also nice to have onsite parking available. We were a little late coming in so we called our host, and she was accommodating. We had a great conversation with our host in the morning, he had several suggestions for us and seemed very interested in making sure we got the most out of visiting the area.

It's not so much a complaint but just a heads up that the staircase is narrow and steep...like most great places in Ireland. The dining was set family style (all at the same table) which didn't bother us, but a few others at the table seemed very uncomfortable with the arrangement.

Intimate accommodation just outside town center

Quiet location out of the town center. More than sufficient parking for the number of rooms. Intimate, small so no large crowds. Very helpful and accommodating owners. Beautifully decorated and homely.

Fabulous comfortable room and super value for money. The hosts we very friends and accommodating. Stayed one night while attending a friends wedding near by, location was ideal.

Lovely B&B in Kenmare close to many scenic locations in County Kerry

Cozy B&B a short walk from Kenmare town (10 minutes) with plenty of parking if you're arriving by car. Room was comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were excellent. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

No complaints whatsoever.
