This was our 3rd stay here but the first time with our dog. We like the accommodation as it has everything you need including an enclosed garden. The location is perfect if you want to go to Baslow, the Edges or Chatsworth Estate.
We ate at The Peacock in Cutthorpe, which was lovely and dog friendly. We had a drink at The Robinhood, which is literally a minutes drive from the lodge (we have eaten here in the past)

Host provided clear directions to location and instuctions for entry protocol in advance of arrival; straight forward access via keys in lockbox. The lodge is homely, comfortable and well equipped for a s/c stay. Located with lovely rural views across the moors and the exclusive use patio is a bonus, offering early evening relaxation after a day out walking in the peaks.

We loved our three days at Moorland Lodge. Very comfortable and well appointed with comfortable bed, good shower and fully fitted kitchen with nice treats left by the owner. The garden is super and perfect to sit whilst taking in the view and watching the rabbits and a visit from the owners sweet dogs. The location is perfect being within a short drive of walks, Monsal Trail and some very nice pubs. The only downside was that we didn’t stay for longer so an excellent excuse to return.
