Simply wonderful

Absolutely stunning hotel. The staff were fabulous. The room was amazing and the breakfast was superb. The staff were very attentive to your every need. We sat in the lounge by a log fire enjoying a drink in the evening. Secure parking a plus

Si vuelvo a Santillana del Mar, seguro repetiré.

El personal muy amable y atento. La habitación bien. El desayuno correcto y el señor camarero muy atento y servicial. Hotel precioso, con unos salas con mucho encanto y muy bello.

Quizás por poner algo y como crítica constructiva, habitación con poca luz.

El desayuno perfecto, variado, platos calientes, la persona que atendia muy amable, En la habitación solicite baño sin bañera y dos camas lo cual me cumplieron perfectamente, la habitación silenciosa. Los jardines nos encantaron y en si todo el hotel. Encantadas

Solo tomar una noche en este hotel. Me hubiese gustado estar ambas noches que me hospede en Santillana.

Simply wow! Beautiful hotel, excellent location and great staff. Perfect choice!

This hotel is simply amazing! Not only is it centrally located in the old city, but the interior brings you back to another period of history. Staff is very nice and attentive and the room met our expectations. Excellent hotel choice to take advantage of the old city, enjoy the grounds and visit around the region.

Beautifully restored hotel

The hotel was absolutely beautiful with gorgeous gardens. Was built in the 1500s so is full of history with the old polished floors, timber beams and stone walls. The furnishings are perfect, loved our huge bedroom with the most comfortable king bed. It’s right in the middle of old town.

Maybe the small restaurant could improve their menu?

Great welcome to this beautiful historic house set in a very pretty garden.

Lovely welcome to this beautiful historic building. Wonderful staff both friendly and attentive. Lovely quiet spaces both inside and in the back garden. Excellent secure parking on the grounds. Unfortunately our room was on the other side of the house overlooking a busy pedestrian street with bars and restaurants, so it was inevitably noisy. Great breakfast , beautifully served.

A lovely quiet and comfortable special hotel

Warm welcome and hotel staff are excellent. Lovely hotel with bags of character. Great sized rooms and we had a fabulous balcony. Gardens are superb and great for getting out of the heat. Nice bar and small breakfast room with plenty of options and superb personal service. Good secure parking area, although we used public parking as we were a bit confused about entry to hotel car park.

Special place in a special town

What a special place for exploring Santillana del Mar and the surrounding area. All the charm of old with the upgrades of new to keep you comfortable. And a wonderful breakfast!!

The internet was not great. I had to do a work video conference for an hour and it was pretty rough. But, only crazy people come to this little gem of a town and work!

Extremely good and very good value.

Superb small hotel. Extremely old building beautifully restored and furnished. Very old cobbled village favoured by tourists and surrounded by countryside. Ideal location for visiting area.

The taps for the shower and bath in room 16 are very difficult to operate.

Really hope to back and will recommend to friends.

The building was fascinating, a delightful combination of history and interesting more modern décor. The hotel is centrally located and has its own secure parking and a beautiful small garden. Above all, the staff are exceptional - so welcoming and friendly whilst being simultaneously thoroughly professional and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile. I can’t praise them enough.

Good location, attractive communal facilities but let down by our room.

Centrally located in Santillana del Mar with attractive looking communal facilities, outdoor seating area (though with only 6 seats) and parking. Staff spoke good English.

As is often the case the breakfast rate was such that it was considerably cheaper to go to the bakers cafe 50 metres away out the back gate. While the communal facilities were very attractive, the staircase at the front door could not be used as the glass entrance affected it. Our room was very small, with a sloping ceiling, which meant that you could not use about a third of the room apart from for luggage storage. The only window was a skylight. The bathroom had seen better days and there was no plug in either the bath or the sink. The point of a bath tub is to have a bath and for that you need a plug.

Very good

The hotel is atmospheric and staff were marvelous! We also found the room to be very comfortable and large. Light meals and wine selection were great.

The bathroom is a bit outdated and not up to par with the rest of the facility.
