Not happy with the size of the rooms - should have been offered two rooms when family of four.

Friendly staff. Location was good as it is 2 min from the beach, as well as walking distance from the train station (900m).

The room was too small - not suitable for family of four for one week. We could barely turn around without bumping into a bed, a door, or each other. Should have been offered two rooms, no doubt. Very disappointed, as we did book and pay long ahead of our stay.

Great location and perfect for a short trip.

The location was perfect. Very close to restaurants and the beach. The size of the room was nice and it had a closet, safe, and AC.

The shower was tiny and may be slightly uncomfortable if you are larger.

Great find- clean, friendly, safe, close and walkable to so much

The hotel host Giordano was most welcoming, friendly and shared with us many places to see and visit.

No breakfast or coffee service at this point but we were told about a wonderful coffee & pastry place just a minute away- Fauzias- great!

Exceptional

We were pleasantly surprised to find Viareggio to be such a splendid town, and we couldn't have had a better place to stay. Giordano and Patrizia are wonderful hosts, always ready to help in any way they can. The room is small but more than adequate, the beds comfy, the air conditioning fine, and the windows are thick enough to block any random street noise. This hotel is a terrific value. It's a quick kilometer from the train station, so we used it as a base from which to visit the delightful town of Lucca (20 minutes) and Cinque Terre (around an hour.) The beaches charge, but it is well worth it to have some shade, a clean beach, and lifeguards.

Amazing stay in viareggio in an amazing hotel

A brilliant place to stay . Right near the beach and restaurants. The train station is a short walk where you can explore pisa and Florence. It's lovely and clean and your room is cleaned every day . There is a fridge you can use which really helped . But the main thing is the owner . He was so helpful. Any information you needed he was on hand . What station to get off , what restaurants are best . One of us is a vegan and the other gluten free and he told us a lovely restaurant to go to . All in all I couldn't of stayed in a better hotel.

basic but nice

main contact was a great fella, with excellent manner and English great shower and toilet and aircon.

Old tv. no English channels. I’m on holiday but I do need my tv fix to relax at times. room needs some decoration

Superb

Very nice hotel, super friendly and helpful staff that always helped out with restaurant suggestions and other tips on what to do. The room was small but functional and the beds were OK. Location to the beach and restaurants was excellent.

No refrigerator in the room, but common refrigerators for the guests in the reception area

Aircon control was locked, which meant that the fan level could not be altered. Not good enough.

Superb

We had a very nice stay at Hotel Ondina in Viareggio. The Hotel is super central, 100 Meter from the beach and 200 meter from the haven. the lovely host of the hotel has always very helpful tipps for restaurants or anything else and as well can reservate umbrellas at the beach and organize parking tickets for your car. Nice and cozy hotel with some charme and outstanding hosts.

The host is absolutely lovely and speaks very good English. They were very accommodating, god with communication and helping me around town. The hotel is well located and walking distance from the promenade & beach

The room has a nice view over the garden from 1st floor, but the bathroom was very small and the other guests children were super noisy from very early in the morning.

Amazing staff and comfortable stay.

My husband and I came to Hotel Ondina for a 5 night stay and absolutely loved it. It is a beautiful, quaint and homely hotel, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The hotel is situated just minutes walk from the beach and there are plenty of local shops and a supermarket, in order to get a essentials if needed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for something simple and comfortable.

The only suggestion I would have for the hotel, is to perhaps provide mini fridges in the room so guests can keep water and drinks cool.
