It was nice and clean
The reception closed before it was said. The staff contacted me to do the self-checking and called them, but I took more than an hour before the phone work. I stayed for a long time, waiting and thinking that maybe I would not be able to access my room, where all my luggage was already. I was not enjoyable.

The hostel is very conveniently located for anything to explore in central Uppsala and the old town. Even though the place could use a bit of an update, the facilities are fair and the price is very reasonable compared to a hotel, which you'd need to book well in advance in the summer and could easily cost double. There is no breakfast offered on site, but there are basic kitchen facilities you can use and a separate common eating room. Our room had an in-room fridge as well.
If only the windows would open, I would be really pleased with the accommodation. On a hot day, the room quickly gets stuffy and if you don't want to leave the AC on for the night, it can be rather hot to sleep on a summer's night.
