My stay at The Blenheim in Dawlish was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The hotel has that rare combination of charm, comfort, and an unbeatable location that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive.
The rooms are bright, spotless, and thoughtfully arranged, many with wonderful sea views that let you wake up to the sound of the waves and the sight of the famous red cliffs. It’s the perfect vantage point for watching trains glide along the sea wall; a real treat if you enjoy the railway as much as the coastline.
The hosts are genuinely welcoming, attentive without ever being intrusive, and clearly take pride in running a hotel that feels personal rather than generic. Breakfast was excellent: fresh, well prepared, and served with the kind of friendly efficiency that sets you up for the day.
The location couldn’t be better. You step out of the door and you’re seconds from the beach, the station, and the gentle bustle of Dawlish town. Whether you’re heading for a coastal walk, exploring the town, or simply relaxing by the sea, everything is right where you need it.
Overall, The Blenheim offers comfort, character, and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. It’s exactly the sort of place that makes a visit to Dawlish feel special, and I would happily stay again.

This was our second time that we stayed. The hotel was clean, and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast choices were amazing and all cooked to order. The staff were all friendly. Hope to be back next year xx

The breakfast was varied & tasty & well presented. The room was large & the beds & pillows very comfortable. Road noise was limited by the triple glazing. The staff were welcoming, friendly & efficient. The mirror in the our room (3) was very flattering - made us look tall & slim!!! The location was great!
Having only one bedside cabinet & limited bedside lighting was an issue. Limited ability to open windows.

The noise from the road and trains. The shower/tap water pressure was poor, the bed was small.
