The management and staff are very helpful. The place was close to everywhere that mattered and unlike other hotels in Vietnam, they do not lock the front door.
The place was kind of old and there was a sound the elevator was making that may need checking. There were some stains in the bath tub that might need some paint because at first glance it looks like lint. The porch on the fifth floor was unkempt.

I only stayed for 1 night at the end of my 5-day motorcycle trip in the Northeast, so I was only there one night before flying out early the next morning. It has a nice spot in the Old Quarter, so good location if you want access to the area. The room was large enough to fit my stuff without feeling cramped. Also, the bed was nice and cozy, plus there's a bathtub, but I didn't use it.
The view out the window wasn't much, but since it was an overnighter, it was fine. I am unsure of the atmosphere during the day, it's more like a hotel than a homestay so not much character. However, that may not be an issue for you.

Great location for exploring Old Quarter and short walks (20 minutes) to other sights such as Train Street and Lake. Wide selection of bars and restaurants nearby. My room was upgraded upon check in, external balcony much appreciated. Very large room, powerful shower, daily cleaning to high standard. On-site restaurant lunch and dinner options. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good value accommodation.

Close to beer street. Cheap to stay.
Didn’t really look like the photos. Aircon was poor so I was roasting. Very loud. No lights in the hallways. Felt like it was not great.
