We had a wonderful two-night stay at Cascina Sciulun, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to the Langhe.
The location is simply stunning, right in the heart of the Langhe hills and vineyards. The property was even more beautiful than we expected from the photos, which actually represent the place very well. It is peaceful, quiet and authentic, with beautiful views, a lovely green garden and a huge, spacious terrace.
We stayed in the Barbera room. It was a little smaller than we expected from the photos, but it had everything we needed. The bed is very large, although the mattress was somewhat softer and less supportive than we would have preferred. The modern bathroom was spacious and well equipped, although the shower cabin felt a little tight and the water pressure could be stronger.
Breakfast was very good, with omelettes, cheeses, cereals, fresh fruit, breads and pastries. The wine tasting included in our stay was an amazing experience and made the visit even more special.
But the real highlight is the hospitality. The entire property, including the vineyards and winery, is run by the Conterno family. Everyone was incredibly kind, humble and welcoming, and the staff spoke excellent English and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do.
The location is also perfect for exploring the area, just a few minutes from Barolo and around 10 minutes from La Morra and Alba, while still feeling away from the crowds.
We would absolutely stay here again. A true 10/10 experience and a place we highly recommend.

The location, the breakfast, and the quiet evenings were amazing. Starting at a winery and waking up to a calm and relaxed environment was exactly what I was looking for.

The breakfast was outstanding, lots of variety and local products. Plus, they went out of their way to supply gluten-free options. The views were spectacular and the wine tasting was fantastic.

The place is very nice, location is great, short drive to all other villages in the area.
