We stayed there as a family of three for four nights, and we really liked the location, as it's within the town centre. Nearby, there are multiple shops and restaurants, so there is always somewhere to have a meal. We picked this specific location as it was good, affordable price with the benefit of having Alnwick attractions within walking distance. The host, Tracy, is a very lovely lady who provided us with good advice about the local must-see places, and generally told us a lot about Alnwick. We managed to see plenty during our holiday: Alnwick Castle & gardens, Lilidorei, and Barter Books. It is an excellent base to also enjoy the beaches that are not too far from Alnwick. For parking, we used the local public free car parks and never struggled to find a place, and each of them is within walking distance of the hotel. Overall, we highly recommend staying at Georgian Guest House. Our son really enjoyed Alnwick, so we will definitely return. Thank you.

The location is fantastic, especially for the castle, with the town right on your doorstep. There is a free car park at the top of the street, so the lack of parking outside was not a problem. The apartment was comfortable enough for our stay. The list of local pubs and restaurants provided was spot on and well worth following.
The apartment is very dated and perhaps not the cleanest. The kitchen is basic, and we had to buy our own scrubber as the one left for us was dirty. The 16:00 check in and 10am checkout can be a bit annoying if you prefer a more relaxed start or finish to your trip.
Bottom line
Read the other reviews first and keep your expectations realistic. The location alone makes it worthwhile.
