We booked the Dinner (5-course at Roots), Bed, and breakfast (3-course). The rooms are lovely, if a little bit "tired". We were very comfortable. They have an excellent array of pillows and warm, cozy bedding. We appreciated their attention to detail regarding allergies, which the excellent staff remembered at all times. The staff were all excellent at all times - service was great! Delicious muesli, yoghurt and fruit and well as a fresh spin on Tastee Wheat- it was very yummy! (Although I would leave out the chocolate at breakfast...) - And the Thai Green Curry Soup was very tasty.
While there were a lot of tea/coffee/hot chocolate choices, there were only 2 creamers (fake milk), which I feel is not great for a 5-star hotel. I would like a small jug of fresh milk in the fridge provided for tea, coffee, etc. In my opinion, this is a small extra with a big payback. Also, although the bath area was beautifully set up for a bath, there was no bathmat in the bathroom for the shower, so we had to move it. Easy to have two.
Small things like serving white bread at breakfast, with no other options like sourdough or rye, should probably be catered for. Same with additional plant milks - only almond and soya.
We felt the music was a touch loud at meals - should be more background. And the restaurant, although I understand the starkness of the environment it is trying to emulate, could be a little more cosy. Warmer, more comfortable chairs (small armchairs), maybe a large rug across the floor. It is quite "cold" and lacks atmosphere.

The breakfast was a surprising three course - it was absolutely devine. The staff a very helpful and friendly. The rooms are amazing.
Perhaps the dinner could have been slower - although it was an 8 course meal but perhaps to allow more time during the dishes
