The private onsens are great, i chose room 107 with the in floor onsen, it was great at the end of september and i believe it will be the best at december january. Also the food was great, the staff were excellent especially yagi-san
The room can be quite dark for no reason at certain points , its a very easy fix.

The food was good, and the private onsen was beautiful and very relaxing.
Due to humidity in the room, there was a strange odor all the time. It’s probably from the private onsen, but it still wasn’t a pleasant experience.

The food and service the restaurant was excellent.
The room was supposed to have a Mountain View which was not as advertised, the garden on the balcony was full of weeds, the feature ‘Onsen’ was in need of refurbishment, the outdoor shower was full of mould!! The staff refused to respond to our complaint so we left a day early - initially they insisted we pay for the missed night but Booking.com negotiated a full refund which we appreciated. The property is also quite remote so would avoid unless you have your own transport.
