Fantastic rooms very well appointed with traditional clothing provided for when around the hotel to encourage relaxation.
Excellent free shuttle bus from train station on arrival and departure as well as daily up to Gora where you can then link in transport to explore the park.
Great breakfast and food options during the day and evening.

The staff, the view of Mt Fuji and the rooms were a great size.

It’s a calm, peaceful mountain hotel in the heart of nature; the rooms have beautiful view of woods. You can dine at very good Sushi and French restaurants at a calm atmosphere, very good Sushi chefs. And also you can have an amazing Onsen experience till mid night. During the day you can go to Lake Ashi via ropeway and enjoy lake premises. We were not sure whether to stay in Hakone but it was worth it, I think it would be tiring to have daily trip just to see Fuji.
It’s not very easy to reach location. After reaching to Hakone Yumatu station, you need to take a cable car or bus and then shuttle needs to take you from some point. Same if you are coming back from Lake Ashi; it’s an experience but requires some time and effort.
