We had a lovely 2 days in Hakone thanks to the Bar hotel experience! Best place to stay.

The love the bar and the feeling of intimacy within the entire place. The view is amazing and the staff are very kind and helpful, also the bartenders are great in terms of quality, knowledge and empathy.

Although we knew the concept of the hotel is a bar, due to the location of the hotel where is not very easy to get out to buy food/find a restaurant, and the fact of drinking alcohol that is not good for driving, the options for food at the menu could increase or the services for food.

Exceeding my expectation and I'd strongly recommend giving them a shot

I don't usually leave reviews, but I want to do this for the hotel because my experience was so amazing - The service: exceptional. From checking in to arranging plans, they can help with everything you need - Facility: So new and fresh, you'll love it - Vibe: The bar concept was executed really well, and it remained classy.

A magical experience from begging to end. Everything was beautiful. Stay here if you’re in hakone.

Absolutely stunning in every way. You’ll feel like you’ve been transported to heaven. The staff is incredible and so helpful. The rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. You must book both private baths, they are both incredibly beautiful. As well as the communal woman’s bath. The drinks were also beautiful. I don’t have enough words to describe the lovely experience of staying here. If you have the privilege of staying here you are very lucky!

There was nothing I didn’t like. Loved everything.

Magical mountain onsen with unlimited cocktails!

Pictures simply cannot do this place justice. It is incredibly beautiful, every corner of the hotel was well curated and designed. The service was absolutely incredible. We had a couple of things we needed assistance with and Reiko and Yuna were always available to help our group. Everyone was just so kind! There are literally hundreds of cocktails to try and everything we had was great. This was honestly the most magical hotel I’ve ever stayed in, just unreal attention to detail and service. Thank you so much, barhotel!

Amazing!

Scenery, onsen, drinks, overall atmosphere

Great scenery, but not in a location where you can walk to dinner. They provide a car service but tend to try to get all their guests to Nobu (more convenient for drivers to go to one place), which is pretty pricey for dinner.
