The staff was very friendly and welcoming. breakfast was lavish and the hotel has a shuttle service.
The location and view. Basically, we had the view of a construction site on the other side of the river (So the porch tub wasn't that welcoming), and we were miles away from the city's center.

We loved everything about our stay! The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable, and the views were amazing. Everyone made us feel so well taken care of. We had such a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!

Great bus pickup from station. Car service to Gora was great. Nice welcome drink. Offered early check in because the room was ready. Fantastic room. Purchased dinner package and it was lovely.
Breakfast was expansive but far less enticing than dinner. Service was genuinely kind, but every request (like additional condiments at dinner or Nespresso capsules in the room) seemed to require a higher management approval. At this price level (weekend and in season) we expected less friction. Onsen is not traditional Japanese.
