Very friendly and helpful host couple running a simple and clean guesthouse in the heart off the Saigon backpacking district. The location is just off of Bui Vien street, but in a relatively calm side alley so we had no trouble sleeping.
The room was clean, but small and basic. A fridge and a very old television, no water cooker, cups or cutlery for self catering. Like climbing stairs, it is kind a what you can expect in old towns, but it could have been a bit nicer.
Finally, we followed the host's advice to book our two tours with "Kim Delta" tour operator which turned out to be a huge disappointment. To be honest, I think this is a problem of the Vietnam tourist industry in general and don't blame the host. It is very hard to find any authentic tours that do not drag you from tourist trap to tourist trap, and this is not one of of the good one. Just FYI.

Marito e moglie gestiscono con grande esperienza e gentilezza questa piccola guesthouse sviluppata in altezza, situata in un’animata minuscola stradina, laterale alle vie principali e con tutte le attrazioni del distretto 1 raggiungibili a piedi. La camera un po’ piccola ma comunque funzionale e dotata di tutto. Abbiamo potuto fare il check-in in anticipo gratuitamente mentre il check-out di parecchie ore ha richiesto un piccolo supplemento.

Non c’è ascensore, e le scale a chiocciola per raggiungere i piani più alti sono parecchio impegnative.
