Fantastic room and view, attentive staff (they baked a cake!) and just a great way to start a tour of Tasmania. The room was cosy and well equipped, but the easy access kitchen ensured that even if that wasn't the case you had everything you could want at hand. The building itself was beautiful and so were the grounds.

Nothing really. A minor suggestion is have a second suitcase rack. But it’s not a criticism.

It was very clean and the building well maintained.
We got the Montpellier room, which “has views over the garden”. The garden is actually a driveway that people walk past often so there’s no sense of privacy in the room. We had strangers looking in, even through the pulled-down opaque blinds.
To get to the room you need to walk downstairs and it feels like you’re going into a basement, which isn’t a nice entry experience.
Perhaps the rooms with views of water provide a good experience, but this room did not.
