First of all, the host, Martina, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially after I got off at the wrong train station & she helped me find the B&B - directly opposite Valmadrera train station. Security is very good at the location, with keys for entering the building & rooms, with a key safe deposit box. The room was perfect, spacious, TV, aircon, etc, additional fleece blankets. A 10 minute stroll from the lake front, where Lake Como, the mountains and Lecco across the water, all make for a magical sight. The breakfast was a perfect start to the day, with delicious figs included! Also 5 minutes from Euro Spin supermarket.

Martina was a very nice host to us! The rooms are clean, breakfast is amazing and she also had a lot of great recommendations to enjoy the neighborhood! Loved it!

The bed was comfortable. The complimentary coffee was very good. The shared bathroom was big and the shower/toilet were great. Nice to getgel and soap too. Breakfast was above average for Italy. The bedroom was spacious.
Rooms facing the road and train station are a torture. Reminds me of Elwood's room in the Blues Brothers but no joke there. The coffee machine outside the door is nice at 9AM but not at 4:30 AM which is when other guests prepared to leave. The walls and door are very thin and any noise completely goes through. I also dislike the air pollution for being literally 10m from a very busy road. There is absolutely nowhere to hand your towel in the bedroom but apparently if you leave it in the bathroom it will be removed by staff!! There is not really anywhere like a desk or other table to sit at if you need to any work etc. There is a shared fridge [good] but it is tiny and filled with drinks you can purchase [less good].
