The facilities and location and friendly owners
The bed was not comfortable for me but that is due to my personal preference for a firm mattress.

Calm and tranquil location! The neighbouring sheep and stream were lovely to watch. The fire wood and marshmallows bundle was an added bonus to our trip and definitely made our evening! The washroom and toilets, and snug with tea/coffee and games were so lovely. It’s in the perfect location between ballater and braemar for exploring local gems. Definitely worth the money and would stay again!
The twin futon slat beds were small and a mattress might be more comfortable.

Cute cabins, though rather small. One parking space per pod, which is convenient. Kitchen utensils are available so it's easy to make hot drinks or cook something simple. Beautiful landscape.
We were unlucky with the weather so we felt trapped inside the small space of the pod. There is no roof in front of the cabin that would allow you to sit outside while it's raining, the shared room was too small considering full occupancy and 2 bathrooms are not enough for 10 people, there needs to be at least 1 separate toilet that is not blocked by people showering. Some people leave pools of water on the floor or even forget to turn off the shower! No plug in the bathroom so I had to dry my hair in the pod, without a mirror. The bed was uncomfortable. We haven't seen the hosts, it's all self check-in/out.
