I was tired but got to meet great roommates. The staff and cafeteria were really good and the accommodation was very convenient. OK!

good location, close to the Den Haag HS, very accessible by metro.
friendly staff
good facilities - they have a cafe, breakfast buffet but no kitchen to make your own meals
No airco in the room. No ventilators (fans) provided either.

The hostel is true to its name, it is okay. The staff are helpful. The beds are reasonable. The hostel itself is clean. Lockers are decently spacious.
Some things are outside of control of the hostel, such as constant trash in front of the hostel (see photo). And the fact that the area is not a nice part of the city.
For things they can do: I visited in May and the rooms were extremely hot and stuffy. You can't properly open the windows!!! I can't even imagine what summer is like.
No fans, no AC. This is a big minus. I slept so poorly.
Another minus is the breakfast. It is 10.50 and it is absolute garbage. There are no veggies except soggy cucumbers and plastic-tasting tomatoes. So you're stuck with bread, a choice of salami or ham and the most basic cheese. Nutella, cereals are sweet. And you got some very mediocre fruit. You're better off buying all of that at Albert Heijn for 3 times less, and the cucumber won't be soggy.
WiFi is pretty bad.
And given all of that, 50 per night is steep.
But that's the Netherlands I guess. You won't have a decent choice.
