We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is peaceful and surrounded by great hiking trails. You can arrange a guide, but maps are also provided for many trails in the area. Some trails are within walking distance, while others require a short drive to the starting point.
The village centre is close by, with a few nice restaurants. The dog park is a great addition, and the hotel is genuinely dog friendly. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.
The only downside is that, although our stay was great, we felt the decor is a little tired. A small update would make a big difference, but overall we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Die Umgebung ist wirklich der Hammer und es gibt sehr tolle Spazier- und Wanderwege. Die Hundewiese und der Hundeteich waren wirklich super und unser Hund hat sie sehr genossen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und es gab eine grosse Auswahl. Zudem waren die Betten wirklich bequem.
Leider haben wir schlechte Erfahrungen mit einem anderen Hund gemacht und darauf gab es kaum eine Reaktion des Hotel. Dieser circa 40kg-schwere Hund ist immer wieder auf unseren Hund (circa 11kg) losgegangen. Unser Hund lag beim Abendessen einfach unter dem Tisch, der andere Hund hat sich immer wieder von der Halterin losgerissen und ist angerannt gekommen. Wir haben dann schnell gegessen und sind gegangen. Ich fand es sehr schade, dass seitens des Hotels nichts passiert ist (Gespräch mit der Halterin, Hinweis auf Hausordnung, Platztausch, etc), obwohl in der Hausordnung drin steht, dass die Hunde verträglich und unter Kontrolle sein sollten. Im Gespräch mit anderen Gästen des Hotels haben wir erfahren, dass es ihnen auch so ging und sie von diesem Hund mehrmals belästigt wurden. Wir haben dann selber aktiv nach einem neuen Sitzplatz im Restaurant gefragt und durften uns dann zum Glück umsetzen. Es war der einzige Dämpfer unserer sonst sehr schönen Zeit im Riederhof, es hinterlässt aber einen bitteren Nachgeschmack, weil das Wohl unseres Hundes da leider nicht an erster Stelle stand und sogar gefährdet war.

Sauberkeit / Parkmöglichkeiten
Die Überschrift mit Wau bei Booking sollte in Hundehotel oder Wau Wau geändert werden. Bei 4 Personen a 3 Nächten mit Frühstück für 1350.- Euro und einem Abschluss Geschenk von ca. 175.- Euro überraschend teuer. Wer noch was Essen möchte im Hotel braucht noch pauschal 50.-p.P. .
