Our stay at Hotel Azofra was pleasant overall. The room was spacious and very clean, and we really liked the hotel’s unique design — each door is decorated with its own individual artwork, which gives the place a charming and creative atmosphere.
The location is great — right next to the university, with lovely areas to walk around, perfect if you’re traveling with a dog. There are plenty of parking spots nearby, which is very convenient.
Breakfast was surprisingly large! We expected a typical continental breakfast, but instead, it was à la carte — very generous portions, and everything was tasty, though we couldn’t finish it all.
On the downside, our room had only a skylight window located high up on the ceiling (around 2.5 meters), so there was no regular outside view. Still, for a one-night stay, it was fine. The pillows were a bit uncomfortable — long and thin — which might not suit everyone.
We also had a small issue at reception: during check-out, there was some mix-up with the documents, and one of our cards was accidentally left there. The staff called us about 1.5 hours later, when we were already halfway to Santander, so we had to drive back to retrieve it, losing about 2.5 hours in total.

Someone smoking outside the return air to my room. I didn’t get up to tell staff but it was both nights after 10 pm.
