The friendly helpful staff could not do more for you. I really think they were exceptional. Stunning sea views. Great swimming pool. Generous breakfast. Yummy seafood chowder in the bar. Comfortable bed and nicely decorated generously sized room.
I really think that the hotel is a gem and you don't come to Schull to watch TV, but I was a little surprised for such a nice hotel only to have terrestrial TV plus sky news, no BBC or CNN for example.

Warm welcome at reception and a well-appointed room. You have to pay extra for a sea view though. En suite was well furnished with lots of towels - a tiny bit cramped.
I ate in the restaurant each night after a long day of exploring - they do prefer you to book a table. Copious breakfasts with a good choice of cooked dishes.
On the Saturday night a couple of chaps came to play folk music in the bar/restaurant - which was unexpected and very enjoyable.
Nit-picking here; it was a bit of a nuisance to faff about with a coffee machine at night when all I wanted was hot water for tea. A wee kettle wouldn't go amiss!
I very much enjoyed my stay and would go back.

The location is great, with fabulous views
The walls/doors are paper thin in the 2 bed apartments. We could hear every slight noise and conversation. There is a beer garden outside the rear facing windows which was so loud we found it difficult to sleep. The front facing room was also very loud at night, with street noise of revellers until 2am. There is street seating outside the front rooms. It was a busy bank holiday weekend and the town was very active but even with windows closed and ear plugs it was loud.
