Position: opposite green way beside the beach & rainforest behind. The gardens were beautiful. It was an advantage to have a kitchen & lounge with a veranda overlooking the green way opposite. The area is very quiet & I enjoyed hearing the waves lapping the shore. The York is close to the excellent Smithfield shopping centre.
The bedroom window had some serious mould on the glass & window sill, which I cleaned. A good clean is needed behind the cupboards beside the bed. There are a number of scuff marks on walls that need to be cleaned.

Nice location,privacy on balcony,
Limited dining options,
Unit in a very tired state,
Poor kitchen utilities
Balcony furniture in poor state
No service at all from tourist providers, for visiting regions tourist attractions,
A hire car is a must have, local tourist operators only interested in providing service to cruise ships.
They are not interested in supporting Northern beaches from Cairns
$$$$
