it felt safe and was comfortable and clean
the breakfast is god awful lol delivered to your room the night before and not good at all - they have a whole bar and restaurant type set up by the pool that is not running and it really should be, we only speak English so interacting with staff at this establishment was tricky but they were helpful and patient with using google translate, we had such a hard time finding the place went up and down the hill and then had trouble getting through the gate because you have to ring to get back in and again, language barrier and we had to return earlier than we wanted to at night because we were worried we’d get locked out lol the place has a decent vibe maybe better for families than a couple, it was further from town than we would have liked

The best part of Nercon Patrimonial is its location. The entrance is a block from the town's historic church, & the sprawling grounds include a lot of nooks and crannies to just hang out. Most people just use it as a jumping-off point to go into Castro or southern Chiloé (as we did), but there is a pool & gym if you want, and various animals (ducks, cats, sheep) wandering around the place for a rustic feel, and really nice mini-terraces where guests can use the hot tub (no one did), or just enjoy the setting over wine & food (very popular).
The 2nd best part is the staff, who were always incredibly nice. I think I'd have liked it even better if I'd had a day to just chill.
There was a snag with our booking that actually turned the first night of a 4-day stay into an unfortunate experience of getting shuttled into a seriously downscale motel, but the silver lining was that Daniel, Nercon Patrimonial's owner, showed up to effusively apologize for the error & promise to make it right, which he did. The breakfast (left behind by the cleaning team) is pretty blah, but we'd just come off a long stretch of buying groceries & cooking for ourselves in various Airbnb's, so it was easy to jazz up the hotel's offerings.

Really friendly host. Great location, nice hot tub and pool, great recommendation of restaurant just end of the road (beer house), very big beds, breakfast in the room
Seems like a new place where they are still building and getting established- by time this can be a really great place
It was quit loud so we could hear the neighbors. Also darker curtains and an extra trash bin in the room would be nice.

Breakfast average. Bed fantastic. Clean room. Friendly.
Hard to find. Animal feces on board walks. Dog barking and pulling on its chain when we were walking around.
