Close to Main Station
Lifts getting to breakfast was slow.

Location is excellent. Very convenient for subway travel within city and places of attractions, as the metro is just a short walk to the basement. Also, the Taipei Main Station is a short walk away, so it is also very convenient for intercity travel by train or the High Speed Railways. Also very convenient access to food within the Taipei Main Station, many take aways shops in the underground malls, which links to the malls and restaurants on the other side of the road of the hotel.
For those who are able, it is a short walk to XiMenDing (a popular night spot for the young and trendy) and to the Old Streets (Di Hua Street) of Da Dao Cheng.
The breakfast buffet spread which was included in my room rate, was extensive serving both local and western dishes with live noodle and egg stations.
Nothing not to like in particular except perhaps that the hotel is a bit old and jaded. It takes one back to the 1970-1980s. However, we have learnt that the hotel or the block of buildings where the hotel is located is slated for demolition and rebuilding. We may see a more contemporary version of the hotel in a few years' time.

Location and the overall layout of the room. Breakfast was fine, and the staff members were friendly. Afternoon tea was offered to me when I checked in.
There was no curtain installed at the bathtub, so water was spilt outside the tub near the bathroom door. I didn't notice that the floor was wet, and I almost fell when I stepped out of the bathroom after showering. I suggest replacing the "half glass curtains" with canvas curtains in the rooms to prevent water from spilling and to ensure safety.
Also, there was a moldy smell whenever I switched on the A/C, which triggered my nasal allergies. The hotel may need to clean its A/C systems.
