I really enjoyed the hotel’s excellent location and welcoming atmosphere. The reception staff were very pleasant, the room was clean and well maintained, and the swimming pool and saunas were enjoyable. The breakfast also offered a good variety of food, making our stay comfortable and pleasant overall.
What I didn’t like was that there was no chef station at breakfast preparing fresh omelettes, crêpes, or similar dishes. In a five-star luxury hotel, I would expect a more personalised breakfast experience, with freshly prepared dishes and attentive service. The Eggs Benedict were only available from the buffet, so the eggs were overcooked.
The spa lockers were also disappointing, as we tried around 30 before finding one that locked properly. In a five-star property, I would expect the facilities to be well maintained, fully functional, and checked regularly.
In addition, the breakfast manager was not very pleasant or customer focused. When there was an issue with available seating, she did not try to assist and instead commented and talked back to customers. This was not the level of professionalism, courtesy, or personalised hospitality I would expect from a five star luxury hotel, where staff should be attentive, solution oriented, and welcoming at all times.
The building itself also felt as though it needed a little more care and attention. Some areas appeared slightly tired and could benefit from refurbishment and better maintenance. For a five-star luxury property, I would expect the building and public areas to feel more polished, well cared for, and in keeping with the hotel’s overall rating.

People trying to park there cars right on the entrance and not respecting signs in spa regarding phones, tea cups next to swimming pool.

Excellent SPA place, great massages.
Our stay at this hotel left a very mixed impression, and the overall price-to-quality ratio was disappointing.
There was a complete lack of transparency regarding extra fees, as we were only informed about the charges for parking and our pet at checkout, even though we were previously asked about parking without any mention of a fee. Furthermore, our room was located in a completely different building across the street above the "Vandenis" cafe rather than the main Palanga SPA building. The hotel's "Luxury" wing is extremely outdated and old-school, the "Design" wing is in serious need of renovation, and the breakfast selection was incredibly poor compared to other 5-star properties.
