location was excellent. only a short wander into town. bed was ok.. a bit soft as we rolled into middle but we managed to get a sleep.
the smell was awful. it was as if someone was ill. bathroom was smelling of sick and poo. when you went into the house it hit you at night but was still there in morning. our room had a small sink in it . when you ran the water it was sour. my stepdaughter used her own towel and when we got home the horrid smell from the bathroom had stuck to it. front room very noisy but window was open as heating was on and no way of turning it off as the tops were missing from either side. eventually only slept there because of the smell unfortunately.

Excellent location; comfortable bed; clean towels and bedding; kettle, tea and coffee available; tiny bathroom but with a good shower- hot and excellent water pressure, easy check-in.
All of these issues are because it is set in a Victorian building with original features and therefore unlikely to be able to change: very narrow staircase to get up to rooms; bathroom was tiny and had some crevices growing black mould, but I think it’s basically impossible to avoid that- the rest of the room is clearly constantly cleaned.

The Arbour house Oban is a 2 star accommodation but it is extremely very comfortable and clean the bathroom very clean and the staff very helpful and of course Oban a magnificent little town totally pleased with my stay.

The location was good.
The room was very cramped, could have been improved easily with more storage options like hooks on the wall and a tall side table with shelves to store things on. The shared bathroom is both shower and toilet so if someone is showering there is no other toilet option available in the building. All tables in the lounge were set for breakfast all the time so no place to eat food we’d brought in despite the strict request not to eat in our room. Also it was difficult to dry out our wet clothing (rain is very likely in this region) because no hooks or closet.
