The hacienda hotel is a destination in its own right; there are several pools, an artificial cenote, Mayan village, and extensive grounds to explore. The old hacienda buildings have been tastefully integrated into newer ones creating a wonderful ambience. The new restaurant area is also a great addition. Parking on site. In short, you don't really need to leave for a few days, although it's well located to explore historic sights nearby including the magic town of Mani and Cenotes Hacienda Mucuyché.

The food is a little overpriced, and they could do with offering some local craft beers. My main issue is that there is a noisy kitchen extractor fan above the old house affecting the breakast terrace and (smaller) pool area. This seriously detracts from the ambience in this prime location. The second (larger) pool is much quieter and relaxing but needs a little TLC, especially with the sun loungers.

The room was very clean and well appointed.

The pool areas were not well maintained, the cenote and pools were not clean, the beds around the main pool were filthy dirty. The restaurant was way overpriced for average food and very small portions. The service from staff in the morning was not good at all. Too many things that need to be changed. The property has a lot of potential so it’s too bad.
