Super!

The place is wonderful, very particular architecture from the area. The rooms are beautiful, big and very clean. The hosts were incredibly warm and nice they treated us like kings! Plus the breakfast was just delicious. Highly recommended!!!!!

Great place great location great host

We had a fantastic stay. The cottage is beautifully decorated. The host is really nice and helpful. The breakfast amazing! Very well located, close to the cliff walk and Hermanus center.

Excelent stay close to the cliffs

Loved the place, too bad we were only here for 1 night. The owners were extremely helpful and nice. They gave us some very good restaurant recommendations and they helped us book a last-minute whale watching tour. The property was super clean.

Absolutely delightful stay! From the hostess to the superb breakfast and accessibility to Cliffside walk- fantastic!! Communication with us prior to arriving was super helpful. Will highly recommend Cliff Cottage and hope to return for another visit.

The areas signal/ towers had issues during our stay so wifi was not accessible but this is a town problem and no issue with the accommodation.

The best B and B I’ve ever stayed in - fabulous!

The whole place was beautiful. The garden, the room - with very comfy bed, loads of space, huge bathroom with bath and separate shower. Elmiza and Johan were exceptionally friendly and went over the extra mile to make my stay easy and special - including breakfast in bed on my first day, a rate treat which I loved. Plus the breakfast was hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever had anywhere I’ve ever stayed. I would go back in a heartbeat if I make it back to the Western Cape at some point.

Nothing! It was really windy, so the TV couldn’t connect to the internet, but that didn’t bother me and Elmiza had warned me anyway.

Beautiful thatch-roof inn with great location

Beautiful South African Dutch architecture inn. The inn is across the street from the 10km Cliff Walk which has beautiful ocean views. Parking is in the back in a gated area. Host Elizma recommended Rocks Restaurant for a great seafood dinner. Inn is a few blocks from marina where we did a fantastic whale watching boat trip. Breakfast buffet was huge and delicious. We were there only one night and wished we could have stayed longer!

Exceptional

Elizma was a lovely host, which made us feel very welcome. Everything is nicely decorated and the breakfast was sooo good and of ridiculous variety :) Hermanus is a lovely place and Elizma's is the perfect place to stay. Just across the street you can enjoy the cliff path.

Very beautiful guest house in Hermanus.

The Cliff Cottage is well situated close to restaurants and shops in Hermanus. Access to the famous cliff path was minutes away by foot and had the best viewpoint on the path in our opinion. Our family room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous. The grounds were well kept and we appreciated the secured parking on the premises. Our hostess and her staff were very welcoming and friendly. They did their best during the periods of load shedding as they had a generator which was not always the case in smaller guest houses. Highly recommend for a stay in Hermanus.

Very clean with home from home feel to it. Elizma was very welcoming and friendly. A very chocolate box property with a beautiful garden and very central location. The breakfast was delicious with a wide selection. Highly recommended.

The location was great just opposite the cliff walk into the Village and the breakfast was delicious. Elizma was so lovely and very helpful she even booked a restaurant for us as we weren't arriving till late in the evening. I hope to return again soon. Thank you.

Exceptionally neat & clean. Beautiful cottage with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Very friendly host and breakfast was divine! Took a long walk on the beautiful Cliff path, which is within meters of the the accommodation.

Fantastic place to be, very relaxing.

Location was perfect, very close to the sea. Breakfast fantastic choices, quality, and good variety every single day. The staff were very attentive and we felt very comfortable.

Very well-appointed room with everythng we needed. Even just about everythng we wanted! Tea/coffee facilities, Netflix etc. Well-located across the road from the famous Hermanus Cliff Ppath, so we could enjoy early morning walks overlooking the sea. Clean. Hostess was super-friendly and welcoming and always available.

Very good

Ezna (sp) the woman who runs Cliff Cottage is great fun and cooks up a fullsome breakfast. Our cottage in the garden was quiet and well located. The property is very handy for the coastal path and you can easily walk into town and to the harbour where there are some excellent eateries.

Although the room was very attractive to look at and a good size, it was short on storage space. The wardrobe is rather narrow and so many beautiful cushions have to be moved off the bed that they take up most of the other storage space.

the property was fantastic. the gardens very well kept and the room perfect. our host Elizma was wonderful. nothing was too much trouble and how she managed to produce such breakfasts in spite of the power cuts. thank you so much we will be back we had a great stay and do not hesitate to recommend Cliff Cottage

Lovely spot and a fantastic breakfast

A lovely spot out of the main village but just across the road from the cliff top path which is just lovely. The team are super friendly and my word, the breakfast was exceptional with everything you could hope to have.

Close to the cliff path. Lovely quiet suburb. Breakfast second to none - spoilt for choice!

The house is old and so quite creaky, you can hear others coming and going.

lovely B&B, very friendly hosts and super accommodating towards our kids (6m and 2y) even put a baby bath and amenities in the room for us. breakfast was amazing. would definitely recommend this for couples and families alike.

Super friendly hosts who really gave everything to make our stay exceptional. The "room" was very big (more like an apartment), with a small second bedroom next to the big main bedroom, a spacious bathroom, fridge etc. Thank you very much for having us there.

I stayed there 3 nights with my wife and 12 years old daughter in October 2022. Hermanus is a beautiful little town. The Cliff Cottage is ideally located, a quiet area at under 5 mins drive from the town centre and less than 5 mins walk to the cliff path from where we did see the whales one early morning. The property itself had much charm. Our room was the Aloe Suite, it was even more beautiful and more spacious than in the photos. The breakfast was excellent and above expectation as there was much choices. Elizma and her husband were fantastic hosts who have made our stay even more memorable. We for sure would love to come back!
