Family-run, Siarava is housed in a completely renovated historical building next to the castle of Ioannina, situated in a splendid lakefront position and within walking distance of the centre (full of taverns, cafés and characteristic shops). A short walk from the pier to take the boat to Nisi island (a tour not to be missed).
Our room deserves a separate note, furnished in an elegant but traditional way, with details of refined taste. Impeccable cleaning and high quality hygiene products. Some noise in the evening from nearby bars and restaurants, but no real problems at night.
The owner is an elegant lady who welcomed and pampered us like old friends, with a delicious homemade breakfast served in the cool internal courtyard, but also telling us the history of the house and the place and also some anecdotes from her family.
It was a pleasant and regenerating, but also culturally stimulating stay in this fascinating region of Greece.

Spacious room. Quiet. Close to the lake for evening walks and breakfast coffee. Friendly host who explained the local sites.

It was in town centre so easy to walk to lively restaurants/bars in area. Free parking 400m away. Clean.
No insect/mosquito nets on windows. Not personal service, after checking in we didn't see any staff apart from the non-English speaking person who made and served breakfast. A fridge in the room but no kettle available.
