Okay.

Position of the hotel was excellent. The staff was helpful . Never used the restaurant .

I can write about my room 204. It basically DID have and DID not have a window. The window opened to see pipes and sanitation pipes.

Need Better Value for Money

The hotel is well-located and has a unique old-world charm. The staff are friendly and try to cater with a smile.

There are no elevators in the hotel and the trudge up to the rooms or rooftop restaurant may not be friendly for the elderly. The food is average and the menu has no theme. The breakfast buffet is passable at best. Many rooms have no windows or view. The amenities in the bathrooms need improvement.

Close to the ghat. Heritage hotel, this nice entrance hall on floors

No English tv. Limited menu. Rooftop not fitting to the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was average. Overpriced

Worst service

We liked the location and food that was prepared by hotel chef.

Their approach towards the customers is bad and they are charging more amount for the that doesn't have any view. Online it said 1st floor but view itself is not there and we want to extend the stay for 3 hrs that charged 2000rs even though there was no person is waiting for that room they want to rip of the customers

Old world charm. Amazing location. Brilliant stay

Great location, bang at the entrance of assi ghat. The rooftop restaurant serves amazing North indian cuisine. The staff were very helpful.

Disappointing

Not worth the price. Location is good, in front of Assi Ghat, but again it's not a star hotel. Rooms are quite small there is no view as well. Upper level room is just behind the reception and there is no view in any room. For people travelling in SUVs, entering that lane is a big no because of the crowd. The only plus point about the hotel is the location. Apart from that, my stay wasn't great.

Absolutely marvellous.

Palace on ganges is a great experience and one I would recommend to anyone. Great rooms, food and service. I'll go there again if I'm in this neck of the woods.

A meal was put on my bill that we hadn't had. Just a mistake I'm sure but that's the only negative I can come up with.

good location

the owner tried to make tricks about the reservations - my friedns has a booked rooms, only me not...When he nderstand this, he lock the booking profile and asked me for double price. Then , I said: I want to book with my card from booking, because I want to win points etc, then he enlocked the reservation system, but he increased the price a lot...So I booked the first day with booking, and the second with agoda for better price...Not nice person, gipsy tricks...

A/C was not working well, breakfast is very poor, reception people gave us wrong information about the time of aarti, we paid for transfer to airport, car was 30 minutes late, seems reception person forgot to arrange it. Too high price for this quality of service.

fantastic location, rest all pretty basic, probably value for money just because of the location

just had coffee, breakfast basic but ok fantastic location, beside assi ghat i had booked 3 heritage rooms (in 2 separate bookings) two rooms were good, one room was poor

we had booked 3 rooms, 2 first and then a third room, two rooms were fine but one room, named goa had poor beds, we had booked an extra bed which was just a mattress on the floor staff friendly although their price didnt match with the price on booking.com, so worth checking before paying, the difference was 4000 rupees they agreed and didnt charge the higher amount when I pointed this to them bathrooms basic but adeqaute clean towels could be better

Superb

Almost everything. We got a room without any view. Looking into a wall. But we were very happy about that because it was very quiet. I don't know if you can sleep at all in the rooms with a view. The hotel is situated very near The Ganga But in a heavily trafficked road and it is too a gathering point for the auto rickshaw If you like this it 's a topnotch hotel. We would stay there again if coming back to Varanasi.

The food in the Top Roof restaurant And the breakfast could improve. The breakfast room were stocked in a small room downstairs Hot and stinking food.

A comfortable & satisfying experience !!!

Great location & the property has great ambience from outside & lobby area !! Extremely friendly & helpful staff ! Prompt service throughout !!

The room sizes were small .. they certainly require some refurbishing !!

Location is the only thing that is making this property sell.

Staff behaviour and facilities. Had to go to reception at night three times, just to ask for a simple bottle of water with no luck. eventually had to go out to a shop to get some. The charges are as high as some of the 4 stars but the simple facilities like TV was not working and the staff was least bothered. They are on a very good location and that is the only thing they are banking on.

Impolite staff - I paid for break fast and then too the butler said you don’t have breakfast on your room. Eventually i was hungry. - You will have to pay for parking - Description says river view but hardly there are any rooms with a view. - No network and wifi keeps working like 2010
