It was a nice apartment in a great location. Haarlem was a very beautiful city with good access to the coast and also Amsterdam. We had a great time!

Sander is a great host! He is superb at communication and makes every effort to help with transport, places to go etc. It was lovely to be greeted by Sander rather than a key in a lock box!
The property is located ten minutes walk from the centre of Haarlem and five minutes from bus stops, it is a great location! Plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and some super independent shops. Bakeries are open early and have an excellent selection of baked goods.
We would highly recommend ‘ Toast ‘ for breakfast as the menu is extensive and interesting. The restaurant ‘ Gandhi ‘ is also very good.
There is twenty four hour parking nearby which is very clean, well lit, and toilets. It is a safe and secure place. This is paid parking but well worth it as it is easier than trying to find a street parking.
Yes, the stairs to the apartment are quite narrow and steep, but an overnight bag, small case or medium rucksack make life easy and the climb is well worth it!The apartment is very light and airy with a lovely green view. The neighbourhood is friendly, very quiet and safe.
There is a lovely big bathroom with a super shower, plenty of lovely towels and a bath. The bed is very comfortable. The apartment is very well decorated.
Not a complaint but more kitchen equipment would help so you are able to use the stove top and the combination microwave, pans, casserole dish and some sharper knives eg: bread knife, vegetable knife etc.
A check is necessary to see that previous guests have washed up properly.
