Very close to Sovereign Hill. We drove there (2 minutes), but is walkable. It's not a very dense neighbourhood so food options nearby are a longer walk, or a short drive. We walked to the pub in about 20 minutes and took bus + 5 minute walk back.
Room was good size. Easy to park.

Our room was amazing. Great views over Sovereign Hill & Ballarat. I loved the flowering protea near our room ( they don't grow in Nth Qld ).

Well maintained. Good location. Staff friendly. Single rooms looked a lot nicer.
We had a family room. The bunks squeaked every time anyone moved, the mattresses hadn’t been changed since the 90s and the pillows super thin. The single rooms looked and felt a lot nicer.
