Such friendly and helpful staff! The location was amazing, right at the Marina and easy to get around. Parking was excellent!
It was spotless! The breakfast was perfect to get your day started.
I did have one chilly shower, but when we asked about it, it could have been resolved. The room is super efficient for a small space, but if I could, I would suggest a little ledge in the shower for bath items. Leaving them on the floor isn’t ideal. Also an extra shelf somewhere in the bathroom so I don’t have to go outside of it for everything I need. Small details with a big impact.

We liked our stay at Murphy Guest House because of its central location and ease to get to restaurants, pubs, and the marina. The room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was simple but delicious with fresh fruit, assorted breads and jams , and yogurt. My favorite part was the individual tea pots and French presses. The host took time to visit with guests and offer ideas of things to do, often taking them to the window and showing where to go. Parking was free and on a close side road, but it was not obvious so I called the number given in the room to ask about parking. Overall, we were very happy to stay at Murphy Guest House!
The only windows were in the slanted ceiling so you couldn’t see outside from inside of the guest room. There were some larger stains on the guest room carpet.
