The location was perfect for our short stay. The bar staff were friendly.
The cleanliness of the room was unacceptable (Churchill). The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner bottles were empty. We found unknown debris in the shower. The fan was broken (this was fixed using brown tape) and encased in dust. Surfaces had not been wiped properly. The kettle and coffee machine had old water sitting in them.
We found a used hair tie in the kitchen. All the lampshades are wonky, and the walls need repainting. It really does need a little more care and attention. Also, many flights of stairs so not great for those with heavy luggage. On departure, we had to step over laundry bags to exit the building.
For £189 per night with no option of breakfast, I expected at the very least a clean room. I emailed management, but to date have received no response to the above. The only response was to say that the item I left in the fridge was not there. So I am guessing the cleaners threw it away.
