The upstairs bathroom features a tub/ shower combination and the downstairs bathroom provides a shower. A laundry room with a washer and dryer are available for your convenience. This is a historic home built in the 1920s and the house itself is fantastic. There are nice entertaining areas both outside and in the family room. The upstairs bathroom is roomy, the downstairs one a little small, but useable. The bedrooms were well situated and all were well appointed and comfortable. The outside area with the massive picnic table, grill, fire pit, and games were great! The kitchen is small but useable, although there were not many pots and pans - we bought a couple to use and left them for the next guests. Overall, we loved staying here, other than the one oddity to me - it's very clear in the listing that quiet hours are 8 pm - 9 am, so we assumed it was in a quiet neighborhood. Imagine our surprise to arrive and find that it was in the middle of a number of fraternity houses. Our stay was over a weekend, and on Saturday night one of our rental cars was egged and there were parties everywhere. It's not unexpected behavior for college students and good on them for enjoying life! But I wish we had been better informed about the location. Overall, the house was fantastic, and we would likely stay here again over the summer, but I don't know that we would repeat the experience during the school year over a weekend. We only had to call the property manager once at the very beginning of the stay and they were easily accessible and solved the issue immediately (the alarm was set and we did not have the access code).

We came for the Hot August nights car show. Great proximity to downtown. Clean comfortable. The parking in front is perfect for truck trailer & extra car. Thanks so much.

We had a wonderful stay over memorial weekend for the national bowling tournament. Very close and easy to get to bowling alley.
Check in/ check out super easy!
I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

I was worried at first when I had seen some of the comments about the house but after staying there, I really enjoyed it didn’t have an issue and really like the way the house felt

This was a cute home with so much character. Loved the living room area. Great place to bbq outside and relax.

Great!!! Good location. Clean and cute. Nicely decorated and furnished. Lots of extras in the kitchen; pots and pans, spices, condiments. We served a lovely meal for 13 one night. Seven of our party stayed at our nieces' home on the way to Mt Rose. Nine of us stayed in the Stone House. It would be lovely to be there in the summer because there was a great patio and yard with a bbq. Highly recommended.

We rented the Stone House for a family Thanksgiving which included people from all over the world, ages 4 yo to 88 y.o.
Bevause of its age, the property does have some charm but it's tired and needs attention. There are only two small bathrooms, one upstairs and the second bathroom is literally in the kitchen. We experience very low water pressure and cold showers each day, just not good for our elders and little ones. The door knobs are originals and aren't properly tightened so they would often come off. Finally, the television cable for the great room didn't work until our final day. Typically not a big deal but when entertaining a multi-generational group, it's pivotal. Especially during the World Cup and holiday football.
The owner did get Spectrum out to fix it on the third day but the experience was not worth the price.

We loved our stay at the stone house. Parking wasn't an issue even with the frat house Halloween parties in the area. Loved the large common areas. Would definitely book a stay again.

A great wedding weekend
We had an excellent experience at The Stone House. There were six adults and two children. Our only issue was that it was a lot of people sharing the bathroom on the second floor and the downstairs bathroom is quite small. But the common spaces were usable and comfortable, including a big living room, dining table and the outside patio with the fire pit and big table. The kitchen was also good. It's an old house so has some quirks, such as a shortage of closets and the fact that most of the windows were sealed shut (air conditioning/heat worked fine). But the beds were comfortable, the bedrooms pretty roomy (except for the single) and the area, despite being in the middle of UNR's fraternity row, was amazingly quiet. (School was not in session.) The location was handy to downtown and we had no issues with parking but again, school was not in session. The rental company was very responsive to our questions. It was an easy house for accommodating a number of people since the living area was separate from most of the bedrooms.

The property is very pretty on the face of it, and as far as location it's solid. However, it is not disclosed that this property is on fraternity row. It wasn't really an issue, but it was weird that this wasn't mentioned. I suppose it would be off-putting to some. The house itself was nice, although the kitchen was really small and lacking ANY barbeque utensils. There was a closet that said "BBQ utensils" that was empty. Someone probably ransacked it. The second bathroom you have to be a ninja to get into because it's so tiny. The heating is a bit bizarre. Some rooms were really warm, while the others were freezing. Some of our guests had to sleep without covers, while others were begging for more. Interestingly, there was a really big rat in the backyard that was hanging out periodically. A propane bbq would be nice.
I don't want to diminish the quality of the stay. It was indeed nice, but I think a bit oversold with pictures and descriptions for what it was in reality.

Nice place
We enjoyed our visit. The house is very unique which made it enjoyable overall. Backyard is awesome. The downstairs bathroom attached to the kitchen is quite narrow but we managed. Only minor suggestion to property managers/owners is upgrade the welcome gift if you are going to continue to do this. A couple of store bought individual highly preserved danishes does not leave a great impression.

We enjoyed our stay here and it was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. Because it is a historic home, it is unique. We loved the backyard.

Old cousins (60 years +) gathered here to catch up and share stories. The living room and beautiful backyard were perfect for our group and we cooked all of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen.
The house is split level so stairs are mandatory which was challenging for those in their 80’s. But our 90 year old made it downstairs where the kitchen, living room, 1 bedroom and bath meant she didn’t have to use the stairs but once to get in and settled.
Each room had its own AC which was very nice.
Thanks for a great stay and great memories!

The house is fine, but for the cost I would expect higher grade amenities. My biggest issue is that we did not have hot water for the entire stay. Even after a plumber visited. I would expect some sort of refund, although no communication from the owners have been forthcoming. The house was also quite cold and the master bedroom had no heat whatsoever and inadequate bedding. Would not stay here again.

Very nice property
So let me start by saying the property was awesome there were only a few issues. One issue we had was having quite hours for the house but having a frat house across the street which had a party until 3am was not pleasant. Second the property management company lied to us about why we had to pay for another night even though our original reservation was for four nights. The company kept telling us the price went up when we had to change but didn’t tell us that until I looked at the reservation about 45 days out. It was amazing the the price per night went up the exact amount so that the 3 nights equaled what the 4 nights was on the original reservation. I will never rent a property again from My Rental Advisor.

Cute house
The house was really cute and well maintained. We didn’t get into town until very late and had no issues with access to the house. This was our first time renting a home through VRBO and were very impressed with the easiness of it and the home we chose

Fun stay!
I didn’t realize it was so close to fraternity houses and Friday night was awe full until 3 am. Website Shia yard and that’s why I rented, but there is none! That was disappointing with children! Everything else was great!!! Loved the coffee and kitchen, very spacious house!!!

Cute Home
We enjoyed the stay in the home. It's really close to UNR which was a little weird staying in the middle of Fraternity and Sorority Row. The family enjoyed the area and the home. The home is older and has a lot of history which the children enjoyed reading. The beds were super comfortable. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Stone House. Beautiful decor and quite a cozy feeling. We would’ve appreciated a better description of the fact that the air conditioning system came in the form of personal cooler systems for only 3 of the rooms and the living room.

Clean and Comfortable
Met up with 10 friends from high school for another HS friends funeral. Some flew in others drove in from California East Bay. House felt warm And comfortable. . Everything worked. Very roomy. Everything was better than expected. Couldn’t find the “air mattresses “ that were supposed to be available. Communication with the property manager was good and our stay was very nice even under the circumstances.
Thank you. We’ll call you again if we ever need a place to stay.

The Stone House
We had a great time at the stone house. It's a beautiful house that's only about a 1/2 mile walk from circus circus and silver legacy. There was a box of donuts on the counter when we arrived with a very nice card. Checking in was seamless. The only thing that we would've liked was if the TV had ESPN. That was the only complaint I had. Beautiful house close to everything.

Second Stay at Stone House
This was the second stay at Stone House. We thoroughly enjoy the home because of the closeness to Reno and the surrounding ski areas. The home is clean, comfortable and all the amenities needed to make it feel like home. Our family loves staying in the home and we look forward to returning to Reno again in the fall.
