About this bed and breakfast
Welcome to Tamarca Hollow, A Nature Retreat! We are secluded carriage house retreat located in the hidden hills of western NC. A 700 sf space (above our garage) fully contained with all the comforts of home....but off the grid!
The driveway is a wee bit steep and gravel. Front wheel and two wheel drive vehicles likely to be challenged to get back up, (going up in reverse works great!) All wheel/four wheel is strongly suggested. There is parking available on the street at the top of our driveway. We are happy to assist you with shuttling services in our car if you choose. The unit has a full kitchen, shower only bathroom, queen bed in the bedroom, a queen sofa bed and a spare twin roll-away bed too. There is no wifi/cell or tv signal down in the hollow, but there is a tv with lots of good movies, music CD's, games, cards and puzzles. We are 30 minutes to the nearest town! We offer our guests a simple supper all ready for you on your day of arrival for an additional fee. We include some homemade breakfast treats such as muffins, biscuits & Belgium waffles, there is also cereal, grits & oatmeal available and the fridge is stocked with simple basic breakfast items (local farm fresh eggs, juice, yogurt/toppings, fresh fruit etc.) And of course coffee, which we roast ourselves, local teas & cocoa. We're tucked down in a hollow of almost 10 acres of hardwood trees and two creeks.....completely secluded! There is nothing like a private creekside picnic! We provide a deluxe picnic basket for you to fill with your own goodies or we can fill it for you with gourmet local delicacies (for additional fees) Take in the peacefulness down by the cascading creek and enjoy the sounds of nature. We are dog friendly, however your dog must be kind to ours! Our Farley, is a ten year old yorkie. We are now offering Elopement Services for our guests, message us for details! Also, available are personal chef services by The Blackstone Dude Mobile. Message us for more info!

Tamara was an extremely accomodating, friendly, kind and a wonderful host and cook.She made every bit of my elopement a breeze. We were impressed from check in at our accommodations, to when the weather changed, the alternative and gorgeous community accommodations (including a beautiful lake) to our wedding photographer.She provided everything a nature girl like me would love and more. On arrival we had complimentary locally sourced food, drink, even desserts and teas. Our wedding ceremony went smoothly and the dinner done by her was absolutely delicious.Our personalized surprise wedding gift from her family to ours was truly special and appreciated. Tamara provides a perfect, simple, private, nature getaway from everyday life, while still providing everything you would need. At the end of the three days, we felt like we had extended family. My husband and I definitely enjoyed our stay and we look forward to my next visit.

What a delightful place. Not only the amenities and local foods for breakfast, but the owner is amazing with communication and hospitality. Will definitely be back when we return to visit our daughter and her family who live in the area.
