Not going back.

Not bad parking and nice view from front of hotel.

A bit smelly in the main building,,,,room=butlins 1980s chalet type thing. No plug sockets anywhere. Shower was ok. Not great value tbh.

The cosy and peaceful Postillion

A great little hotel not far from the center, and still an absolutely quiet room with a view on the inner courtyard. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen made us feel like royalty. Everything was also very conveniently arranged even though the room in itself was small. Helpful owner.

Good location, could do better with breakfast

Good location, right across from a park and near a nice little neighborhood bar. There was plenty of hot water and everything was in working order.

The staff was not particularly friendly and seemed almost put out with my effort to speak French, and while my language skill isn't in the "fluent" range" I still have a very good grasp of words that are needed to speak to hotel staff. The layout of the food at breakfast was not at all appealing and after the first two days, the bread choice was limited to what was leftover from the day before. Also, the traffic noise is very bothersome at night.

Everything else. The room was very smelly. This is a seriously outdated hotel with incredibly poor decor, facilities and clearly very little effort is made to improve matters. We would have been better off sleeping in the car. Worse - we cancelled our second night but were still charged a fee! How is it ever on booking.com site?!!

Very good

Old-school European hotel. If you do not speak French, have means to translate. The manager was very helpful and patient. The room was spotless. Amazing parking immediately near property. Short walk to city center. Room had very good AC (summer stay). Overall cost was very fair.

Passable

Did not request breakfast. Was a bit old fashioned but in a nice nostalgic way. Clean, just a bit old fashioned.

Slight smokers smell in the entrance. Room had been left closed for a while and smelled somewhat musty...

The hotel was perfect for us, with driver, family and race team attending the classic grand prix.

The hotel was within walking distance of the centre of Pau. We were attending the Pau Classic grand prix and the track was with a 15/20 minute walk. The hotel was charming and clean and the owners lovely.

Maybe a little upgrade in the communal atrium area would be good. So extra items for breakfast too - was quite a limited choice but a friendly atmosphere.

Old school hotel, fine for a stopover.

This place is situated near to the centre with good parking facilities outside or nearby. It's not fancy but it's quite comfortable. Basic in an old fashioned way. I don't think it's changed much in the last forty or fifty years and I guess the couple running it have been there all that time. they're not about to change their ways but we liked their gently grumpy character. Parlez vous anglais? was answered with an assertive "Non!"

We were in a motel type room in the rear courtyard and the bathroom was a bit droughty and ancient but everything worked. Breakfast was basic.

Very good

Location good with fine restaurants nearby, the staff were friendly and accomodating - I had to leave early so they made breakfast available to me early, breakfast also very good.

Quirky but excellent stopover in Pau

This won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, it exudes a charm that’s definitely seen better days but we loved it. Very friendly owners, meticulously clean room, perfect location with good parking and a 5 minute walk to the heart of Pau. Lovely inside open air terrace to sit should you want some peace during the day.

Charmin place with great hosts

Super clean room, comfortable mattress and not that bad breakfast.

Cigarette secondary smoke in the reception area. First bad impression... but we are in France. The impression turns positive when you visit the room and realize is super clean and very comfortable.

Absolute good beds

People at the front desk. Fantastic people. You immediately are reassured the rooms will be clean since while smoking might be allowed downstairs it will be never in the rooms. My room was very clean and comfortable. New beds. I travel enought to say this is a premium bed among premium beds in the industry. You would not be deceived.

Mi first impression was not good since the reception smells secondary smoke. But we have to understand it is raining and is France; lots of smokers everywhere ...
