The environment around the place is lovely, with sheeps grazing & talking all day around you. Wish we had better weather when we were there to actually enjoy it more lol. The host was very nice, she gave lots of tips & answered all our inquiries kindly. Good breakfast with amazing fresh bread, it can get very crowded though which makes the process a bit uncomfortable as the serving area is in a very small room. Clean & comfortable room. Unfortunately their restaurant closed for the season right on the day we arrived so we couldn't taste their lamb. It's a very good place for aurora too, if weather permitting (sadly it was cloudy on both days for us). Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon is just a 5-minutes drive away!
It's a pretty expensive place for which is essentially a very barebones room with shared bathroom. Also it would be amazing if there was even just a tiny fridge in the room, personally I would've preferred having that instead of the private sink. As others have already said, some eggs for breakfast would be a simple but superb addition.
Also, the lamp & shelf placements above the bed are HORRENDOUS. The lamps are placed so low that you can't sit up on the bed and lean against the wall because then the lamp will literally be poking you in the back. But you also can't move between the two lamps because then there's a shelf in the middle that's also too low. It was super frustrating, not to mention I bumped my head into the lamp both mornings after waking up. It's just really really bad design. It'd be great if the lamps were either more to the side, or higher up, or just remove the shelf at least because it's not really useful anyway.

Cute, comfortable cabins in a great location away from the main highway. Food is very good, farm to table. The lamb was excellent. Small stream runs by property and you are not far from the Fjaoraglijufur canyon.
As everywhere in Iceland, everything is pricey but here no more so than anywhere else. Quality was very good.

Cute, comfortable cabins in quiet rural setting. Excellent food, farm to table. Beds were very comfortable. The lamb was very good. Location is close to Fjaoraglijufur canyon for a quick hike and makes a nice stop between Vik and Glacier Lagoon. Staff is very good and friendly.
Shower was a little tight.

Amazing location. Very secluded.
The staff was actually receptive to our suggestions and didn't dismiss us for our ethnicity.
The rooms are a little old. And don't have great ventilation. The floors are smudgy. But nothing horrible.
The breakfast, however, was pathetic. Everything was packaged and processed, except for a few fruits. And no major source of protein provided. Not even eggs.
I don't know if it's a European or Icelandic thing, but not having a single fresh source of protein for breakfast is kinda disappointing.
