We had a very enjoyable stay. Martin and Shirley are next door if we had any problems.

Lovely location, on site parking, nice outside space, nice village, peace and quiet.

We will look forward to booking again and hopefully stay longer. We only stayed two nights.

The location. The cleanliness of the Annexe. Two shower rooms with toilets. The Annexe was exactly has shown in the photo on booking.com. All one level except for one step to the bedrooms, and a night light automatically came on when near to the step. The Annexe was quite cool, but the weather had changed and it never stopped raining all weekend. We found a small heater in a cupboard and it heated the living room. The host later in the evening knocked on the door. We were all in our PJs, and asked if we were warm enough, it would have been better if he had adjusted the heating slight due to the change in weather for our return from a very wet and cold day out at Longleat..(English weather).

The step to the bedrooms could have done with a small hand rail. Had I been on holiday with my friend, the step to the bedrooms may have caused her concern due to her disability, and no handrail for support. This is the reason why I have taken one rating off fom excellent

Fantastic and beautiful accommodation. Would 100% recommend

From the point of booking communication was on point, they provided everything we requested including a travel cot, a key was in the lock box and the annex was beautifully presented and modern with everything we needed and required. The hosts where lovely and even baked us a beautiful cake and an added touch of a bottle of wine which after running around with 3 kids was certainly appreciated 😀 they was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area and are very passionate about their village which is lovely. As an added bonus the children loved watching the horses going past every day and ran to the window to see them. The annex is very private and has its own little terrace area that you can relax in that they have beautifully decorated with flowers. There is a pub literally across the road too which has a perfect location for a holiday rental. Thank you so much for such a lovely place to stay and I would highly recommend this to others my son had a brilliant birthday and an amazing day in longleat which is very close by.

Can't fault our stay at all the self contained annex was beautifull and modern if i was going to say anything then it would have been better if one of the rooms had twin beds that could be made into a double if needed instead of a double but that's just our family needs for others that may not suit so more a suggestion than a dislike.

The most welcoming & helpful accommodation we have stayed in. Extremely comfortable & spacious

Martin & Shirley made us feel the most welcome that we have had at any accommodation, they were always on hand & there’s wasn’t anything they wouldn’t do to help. Including rescuing us at 2.30am when we got stuck getting back from the festival. The personal welcoming touches were very thoughtful & helpful during our stay. If you are looking for a quiet village location, then this is the place for you. Extremely clean, light and spacious for 4 people with a pretty court yard style outside space.

Had a wondeful 3 nights stay in Somerset with my family from South Africa.

Excellent cottage in a very peaceful location.Martin and Shirley the owners at hand when needed.Cottage very close to main attractions.Fully equipped kitchen and a lovely outdoor sitting area.Excellent off road parking.Will definitely come back.

We had the most perfect weekend at The Annex. We cannot wait to stay there again. We thoroughly recommend it.

The property was immaculate and so bright and airy. All the finishing touches made it feel so homely and welcoming. The courtyard garden was gorgeous and we enjoyed relaxing out there having coffee Martin and Shirley were the perfect hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. The little basket of goodies they left for us on arrival was a fab idea. They had thought of everything We had the most relaxing time and did not want to leave.

Stunning property, perfect location and fabulous hosts

Everything about our stay at The Annexe was perfect from start to finish. We were attending a wedding at Pennard House and the location could not have been better. The Annexe is modern, beautifully decorated, super clean and has everything you could want or need for a stay away from home. The hosts Martin and Shirley are just the loveliest people and made us so welcome. Martin even offered to take and collect us from the wedding if we needed a lift. The Annexe is 20 yds from a lovely country pub, so it was very handy being able to pop over for a meal when we arrived. Will definitely stay there again and can’t recommend it highly enough.

what a wonderful little place. fab location, the BEST hosts, super clean and simply wonderful.

nothing, this place is exceptional - well except we didn’t see the racehorses (I’m a massive horse lover!) but we did see the queen!!!

Had a great short stay at the Annexe. Would highly recommend. Great value for money.

The property location was excellent for our needs. Everything about the property was first class. Nothing was too much trouble for the host Martin. Would definitely stay here again.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Fantastic place, wonderful hosts, highly recommended!

The annex is so comfortable and cosy. There was everything you could possibly need and more! Tasteful, modern and neutral interior. Beautifully decorated lit up Christmas tree, made it feel very homely and christmassy on arrival! The hosts are lovely, very friendly, welcoming and helpful! its in a lovely rural location, wish we could have stayed longer and explored the area more!

The only negative was an annoying repetitive tapping noise you could hear from the front bedroom at night, and the road was a little noisy too, but I am a very light sleeper!

The host Martin and shirley were the loviest people & couldnt be anymore helpful, couldnt fault the stay away at all, had everything we needed, great location for events at the royle bath and West show ground, its also located 20yards from a nice country pub, it was perfect! Highly recommend staying there, definitely will be staying again!

Lovely spacious accommodation in beautiful surroundings.

Spacious and modern with good facilities. Had a lovely outdoor area, which was private and pretty. Had we stayed longer I'm sure we would have used a lot. Also liked our welcome basket which contained, tea, coffee, milk sugar, crackers local cheese and crisps.

Only a minor detail it was not easy finding everything, for example cutlery was next to dinning table, so we couldn't find any knives until after we'd eaten. Also there was only one teaspoon. Would be useful to have telephone numbers for local Taxis.

A great base to explore the area. Tasteful clean and comfortable.

The kids loved watching the horses being ridden along the street outside every morning and being opposite the pub was handy. Such lovely hosts, they made us feel at home and nothing was too much trouble.

Great place to stay!

Martin and Shirley were there on arrival and showed us round - very lovely people! The property was clean & fresh! There was a lovely little basket on the table with tea, coffee etc, oils, salt and pepper and also a book with local pubs/take aways which people had used which was handy! The towel & bedding were clean & soft. We stopped here for 2 nights whilst visiting long leaf and wookey with our 6 year old & 6 month old it was the perfect spot! The cot & bedding were also provided which was super handy! Watching the horses go past in the morning was a firm favourite too! Thank you once again for letting us use the annexe we will definitely be back if we are down this way again!

Lovely stay, lovely area and lovely hosts

The Annexe was perfect for our short stay. Shirley and Martin were perfect hosts. so friendly and welcoming and couldn't have been more accommodating. The accommodation was lovely, clean, well stocked with a great welcome basket with condiments and essentials. It was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. Shirley even brought a train set for my grandson to play with. There was a a lovely pub opposite the accomodation where we had a nice evening meal too.

Nothing it was all great. Maybe just a couple of hooks on the back of bedroom doors to hang up clothese, jackets and towels perhaps.

High standard of cleanliness and facilities in the unit. Decent amount of space in the bedrooms and living area. Loved the big towels that went all the way around! Martin and Shirley were friendly, helpful hosts.

Absolute perfection

It was like home from home, absolutely beautiful. Everything you need and would want. Extremely welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us, also made sure we had everything we needed and more. Amazing, beautiful property!

We had an amazing time at the annex. Absolutely nothing to fault, Martin and Shirley are lovely and went above and beyond for us to have a lovely stay. The property is beautiful, so comfortable and clean! There is nothing we would have changed about it. There is a lovely pub 22 steps from the front door, which was perfect for us to pop to for a drink. We also went and done an escape room in Somerton and visited the prison in Shepton mallet, both a short drive! 10/10 would recommend, thank you for having us we will be back.

A wonderful family break away

The property was very spacious which was great for us as a family with 2 children. Great secured garden area. The welcome basket was a lovely touch especially the locally made cheese which was one of the nicest cheese we’ve had in a long time.

The only criticism was the pillow cases felt hard but everything else was great 😊
