It was a great accomodation. Private bath was great.

Each room came with a private cypress wood bath which made the bathroom smell amazing. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. He spoke great english too.

Traditional ryokan located in Gion Kyoto, it felt like a step back in time.

Loved the private onsen bath in our room. Staff is amazing and very helpful and accommodating, they made our stay ten times better

Bed wasn’t my favorite but I’m pregnant and don’t have the best back so just a personal preference, my husband was fine

最高

2階の1番良い部屋に宿泊しました。部屋が想像以上にとても綺麗で、木で出来た浴槽が特に素敵でした。温かい家のような雰囲気もあり、スタッフの方も優しく対応して下さいました。チェックアウト後、部屋に大切にしていた櫛を忘れてしまい次の日に電話したところ、「見当たらなかった為、同じ値段・メーカー・特徴が似たものを送らさせて頂きます。」と謝罪ととても親切にして頂きました。忘れたのは自分なのに…と思いながらもこんな素晴らしい対応をして頂いたのは初めてで、とても嬉しかったです。数日後にすぐ櫛が届き、更にお香とAmazonギフト券がセットで入っていました。本当に良くしてくださり、お客様に対するおもてなし心が素晴らしいと感じました。朝ごはん付きで近くのカフェでモーニングも取りました。とても美味しかったです。完璧でした。必ずまた泊まりに行きます！！！本当にありがとうございました！！！

京都での「我が家」のように過ごせました

自分のペースで滞在ができたことが良かった。他の宿泊客と顔を会わせることも殆ど無く、会わせたときも気さくに会話ができる人たちだったのが良かったです。元旦の朝には心のこもったおせちが朝食としてだされたことに感動しました。京都での定宿と勝手に思わせてもらっておりますが、今回もゆったりとくつろげた三日間でした。本当に有り難うございました。また利用させていただきます。

Staff gentilissimo, stanza confortevole con vasca privata in legno nel cuore di Gion

La struttura si trova nel quartiere di Gion in pieno centro storico, lo staff è stato molto accogliente, gentile e disponibile, la stanza era grande ed aveva un bel bagno con una grande vasca in legno.

Noi avevamo acquistato una tariffa senza la colazione inclusa, perché sapevamo che la zona intorno al ryokan è ricca di incantevoli posticini dove poterla fare e inoltre avevamo notato che la colazione offerta dalla struttura non aveva delle recensioni particolarmente positive. Al momento del check in, però, ci sono stati offerti dei ticket per andare a fare la colazione in un bar lì vicino. Mi rendo conto che da parte dello staff voleva essere solo una cortesia nei nostri confronti e che comunque avremmo potuto anche rinunciare all'offerta, ma invece alla fine abbiamo accettato l'offerta e poi ce ne siamo un pò pentiti. Il problema non è stato tanto la qualità della colazione (che comunque era continentale niente di che) ma il fatto che abbiamo dovuto aspettare molto tempo fuori dal bar al freddo per poter fare questa colazione. Inoltre per accedere al bar bisognava prima segnarsi su un taccuino appoggiato lì fuori ma all'inizio non lo avevamo capito e quindi diverse persone arrivate dopo di noi si sono segnate e poi ci sono passate davanti, per cui la nostra attesa è stata ancora più lunga. Il consiglio che mi sento di dare è di spiegare al momento della consegna del ticket per la colazione che per accedere al bar bisogna prima aggiungere il proprio nome alla lista che si trova all'esterno del bar.

飯店真的很美，周邊環境優美，附近都是散步可到的景點，房間乾淨整潔新穎

這個價位的飯店的早餐竟然是便當跟需外出的餐券(看日子不同)，日式便當通普，最糟的是給餐券要你去走去5分鐘遠的咖啡店，重點是這家咖啡廳人超多要等很久！我們因此早上7點在雨中排隊等了30分鐘，而且不好吃，是非常無聊的西式早餐，一份餐配一杯飲料。為了這點體驗大打折扣，也不推薦再來！因為早餐很重要。強烈建議飯店要改善

Excellent!

The property is in such an incredible location. We wanted to be in the heart of old Tokyo and experience the art and culture of the city. We absolutely got it here. The room was beautiful and quiet. The staff went out of their way to make it an incredible stay. Will recommend to anyone I know traveling to Kyoto.

Great place, highly recommended, would return!

This was a terrific place to stay in Kyoto. The staff was friendly and helpful, booking several nice restaurants for us. The room was very well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Great location in an atmospheric neighborhood, and we walked almost everywhere. We appreciated the mix of Japanese (bento) and English (cafe voucher) breakfasts.

Lovely relaxing stay; wonderful bathroom!

Wonderful location; beautiful traditional street and surrounding area. Fairly close to the station, although with big rucksacks, the walk was a little difficult. We decided to get a taxi back to the station after our stay. The host was friendly and spoke good English. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The coffee and teas provided were good quality and appreciated. All toiletries were provided. The bathroom was lovely. Taking a bath was incredibly relaxing and calming. The soft PJs provided were so nice to wear in the room, we wished we could keep them. You are paying for the location and the little details with this hotel. It feels very traditional and has an overall relaxing feel. It's modern inside but has kept some traditional features so you get the best of both worlds.

The listing said we'd get a Japanese breakfast to enjoy in our room each morning of our stay. When we arrived we were given a voucher for a cafe down the road for our first morning and told we'd get a bento box on our second morning. The bento was great; this is what we had expected for breakfast each day of our stay. The cafe breakfast was not such a good experience. It was not that close to the hotel (not on the same street) and we had to queue for a table. The food was not a traditional Japanese breakfast and in our opinion fairly poor. This was a shame as everything else about our stay had felt good quality.

Beautiful, comfortable and well situated. Traditional without feeling outdated. Highly recommend.

Beautiful ryokan with modern enhancements to make the stay as comfortable and luxurious as possible without sacrificing the traditional beauty. The shower room inside the bathroom, tatami mats and garden view were highlights, with modernised complimentary comforts such as remote controlled air conditioning, western-styled raised beds and a keycard entrance to avoid imposing a curfew like some other ryokans. The location was beautiful, right in the middle of Gion and a stone’s throw from Yasaka shrine and nearby 24/7 convenience stores and coin laundries. It is only a 5 minute walk to busier shopping/restaurant areas, but far enough to avoid the noise. Staff were extremely polite and friendly, making sure to explain and show you the facilities on check-in and greeting you daily.

Walls were a little thin so that you could hear other guests if they were particularly noisy, but guests were encouraged to be mindful of others during their stay. The thin walls are standard in ryokans and so this is to be expected.

Perfect relaxing end to a busy holiday

Excellent location for a relaxing stay yet still within walking distance to the hustle and bustle. Very welcoming staff, Taku the manager was amazing and very helpful. He speaks excellent English. Lovely breakfast- traditional Japanese and western.

Nice Ryokan in Kyoto

Nice traditional structure in the temple area of Kyoto, but within a walking distance from shopping / restaurant area. Rooms are big and very quite, service is very good and staff friendly and supportive.

Breakfast should be improved, no problem in having it in a cafe' 5 minutes walking distance, but quality / quantity of food is below expectation.

Would definitely stay here again on my next Kyoto visit!

Great location that’s easily walkable to the central shopping/dining/cultural precinct in Kyoto. Great staff who were very helpful with finding the location on the first day and messaged directions in Japanese to provide to the taxi driver👌

For a 2-person room, we barely had space to put 2 mid-size suitcases. Also, as there was no window, it was difficult to tell when it was daylight.

Perfect and relaxing after a day of walking in the sweltering heat

Everything! We loved the room, the interior of the hotel and the patio. The staff was phenomenal. Even the breakfast bento box we gladly ate because it was so tasty!

Great room and atmosphere. Good food--as long as you're ok with Japanese bentou.

I enjoyed the bentou in our room. The breakfast coupon for the nearby cafe was just ok. However, I know the bentou is harder to eat for people not accustomed to traditional Japanese food.

This was a common problem everywhere I've stayed: The wifi signal was very weak in our room and frequently disconnected.

We had a morvellous stay and highly recommend this hotel.

Location was excellent. Staff were friendly, helpful and supportive. Facilities were superb. It was quiet whilst being central to all the attractions. Superb!

Authentic feeling quaint and cozy Jape was

Best location makes a lot of kyoto walkable. We really really loved this place especially the bathroom.

I wish we could have purchased the pajamas I loved them. Check out is on the earlier side at 10am
