About this house rental
Situated in South Bethany, this lovely house for $145 per night is a great choice for your next break. Lovely water views from this 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath canal front home that is a 5 min. walk to the beach! Home features a huge 26' x 32' screened porch with ice maker, and furniture for 12-16. There is a nice outdoor shower, and separate Master Bedroom/bath with a private wrap around screened porch upstairs. Has a dishwasher, washer/dryer, gas stove, A/C, Gas BBQ, boat dock & opportunity to enjoy both Bay side and the beach. Sleeps 7. Weekly rentals and partial week rentals. Pets welcome with $100 pet fee. Please note that you will need to bring your own linens and that the upstairs master bedroom and bath are separate from the main level living, with a private entrance. Mid May- Mid September rentals go through Sandcastle Reality in South Bethany. All other dates reservations can be made through VRBO. Included with the regular house cleaning fee, our cleaners will either wipe with a disinfectant cloth or spray with an aerosol cleaner, all high touch surface areas. For an additional fee of $125, we can offer a mist disinfectant service that puts charged particles into the air that will cover all surface areas and kills Covid 19. It is odorless, takes minutes to dry and is safe for pets and people. If you would like this additional service, please indicate that in your reservation email, and I will send you the link for the additional fee, and schedule it for you. We want you to feel safe and comfortable at the 'Purple Pearl" and have peace of mind during these difficult times!

We needed a place to stay for the week to be close to my parents during a hospital stay. The house was perfect for our needs. We took our dog and the fenced in yard made it easy for him to go out. The primary bedroom location allowed us to have privacy while we worked. While this wasn’t necessarily a vacation we couldn’t have asked for better accommodations.

The Purple Pearl was exactly what my family needed. We wanted and needed a stress free Christmas this year and this rental delivered. Upon arrival we were greeted with a lit tree that truly made my day. The owners were always quick to respond to any questions we had - even with it being a holiday weekend. Highly recommend renting the Purple Pearl.

Wanted to get away for a weekend where I wasn’t bothered and this was the best spot for peace and quiet! Highly recommend this place as it was clean and great service. Property Manager was extremely quick at getting back to you within 10 minutes if you had any questions. I’ll be using this place when I come back in the future!

A friend and I stayed for a few days. I had my fur-babies along. The street was quiet, but close to the beach and some activities. The place was as described and perfect for my dogs. I enjoyed my time there as did my friend.

Cozy, beachy, comfortable house located a block from the ocean. Quiet, safe neighborhood with friendly people. Perfect for painting watercolors, and strolls on the miles of beach with my dog. Did not want to return home.

We booked the Purple Pearl for a 4 day weekend. The house was pretty much as pictured. As with a lot of rentals we have stayed in, the state of the house takes a toll with so many people staying there. It was fairly clean but the furniture, bathrooms, kitchen were in different stages of wear. A lot of times when rental agencies are involved they don't alert the owners to existing problems. The owners were super nice and helpful. The house was perfect for boardwalk and nights on the beach. Very convenient for sure. The best part of the house is the screened in back porches! Plus a bike was there for my 12 year old to use. We would definitely recommend the property, it just needs a little refreshing.

We enjoyed our stay at the Purple Pearl mainly because we could hang out on the screened in porch area most of the time. Our Cocker Spaniel enjoyed it and the fenced-in yard was perfect for her. She met her first duck and got to see the beach for the first time. The heater was well appreciated on the porch since we spent so much time out there.

The home was well set up for multiple occasions and is nicely decorated. The lower section could have been cleaned better, but was a wonderful place to stay.

The home was exactly the same in person as it was in the listing. Great location. Right on the canal and literally a 3 minute walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood (minus the 2 crazy large dogs next door that the owners had a hard time controlling but they were only there for 2 days). Plenty of room in the home. All of the basics were supplied in the kitchen. Some minor things (2 large beds were very uncomfortable, microwave dish broken but microwave still worked, cleaning crew didn't do a good job cleaning before we got there, hole in fence under deck so our large dog went exploring under the deck, etc.). Overall, this was a really good home to stay in and the owners were very responsive. We would stay again in the future.

This was my first time using a rental through VRBO and the hosts made it so easy! They were responsive through messages. The location was great. A quick walk to the beach, which the dog loved! The neighborhood was quiet and everyone we met was friendly. The house was what we were looking for. We had a great relaxing long weekend! It was a quick ride to downtown and local restaurants. They also left a binder with activities and amenities around! The screened in porch and backyard were great!

We had another great stay at the Purple Pearl for our annual girls’ trip! Our needs were anticipated with instructions, amenities, a suggestion book, and everything we needed for a great stay. As a mom, I recommend this place for a girls trip or a family trip. The house is a great size, walking distance to the beach, very clean, fantastic screened in porch, and a nice little dock on the canal. We will definitely be back!

This was an amazing experience. A nice quiet neighborhood and a quick walk to the beach. The outdoor seating areas are perfect for any type of weather (fans and a heater)! The house is adorable and very comfortable. We will definitely consider this property for future vacations!! Highly recommend.

Seriously loved staying here. Cute home with huge outdoor fun! Obviously we stayed here in March so not a ton of outdoor fun was had but it was appreciated all the same. Having a fenced in yard for the pup was beyond amazing. Hoping to stay here again next March ♡♡♡

This is our second stay at the Purple Pearl. We love the fenced in yard for our dog, the beautiful porch area and the location. The owners were also super flexible with us when our schedule changed due to my daughters gymnastics meet. We were very appreciative. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Purple Pearl. The place was perfect for our needs and we loved coming during off season - it was quiet and lots of cute dogs walking on the beach. While our visit was short, we enjoyed having the back porch and looking out at the canal. Meg was great about letting us in a half hour early when we arrived earlier than we had planned. She also reminded us to bring our linens and paper products. The place is right next to the beach, so there were lots of walks, and we even walked to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. Thank you for a fun and relaxing stay!

We weren't disappointed at all, my dogs loved the fanced in yard,, it was 3 old ladies celebrating our b/days,, we would like to make it a tradition! The location is perfect, I didn't realize how close to Rehobeth. It was a cold snap,, we weren't outside much, we noticed the games,,we kept ourselves very busy with Find It! Found all the objects, took us 3 days!

The house has a great layout and the screened in porch area was awesome! Also loved having a fenced in yard for our dogs. It was great being able to bring them and not have to tie them out or walk them. There is a well stocked Dollar General nearby that had all the paper goods and supplies we needed, even ice. Can’t wait to return!!!

Our family had a reunion at the Purple Pearl in early November, coming from DE, CA, and NC. The owners were always quick to respond to our questions and concerns and the home was exactly as pictured. We made use of the well-stocked kitchen and shared many laughs on the wonderful porch. Having a heater on the porch made it an absolutely great place to hang out during the cool Fall evenings. The location is ideal to many restaurants, grocery stores, the beach, breweries and wineries. We would definitely recommend a stay in this comfortable home!

It's always nice to stay in a home that meets your needs. We love the location. I love the outdoor shower. My adult son loves the secluded upstairs bedroom with bath and the canal in the backyard. My husband loves the close proximity to coffee shops and the beach. My dog loves the screened deck and the fenced yard. We were happy here.

We had a great time staying at the Purple Pearl! It was perfect for my dog's family vacation. The location is awesome. Short walk to the beach and short drives to many places near by that are dog friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great 10 days! Kayaking off the back dock, crabbing, biking to Bethany, and walking to the beach for sunrise! The screened porch is perfect for hanging with the family, bbq out back, fenced yard for our dog, it was all perfect!

The porch is everything!
We spent just two nights in the Purple Pearl for a gals’ weekend, and before we left we were already looking at booking our next stay. The home was clean and comfortable, and we really appreciated the two binders with house/Bethany Beach info. They helped us decide where to eat! Any questions we had for the host were promptly answered and you can tell the owners really care about the house and the people who rent it. They genuinely wanted us to have a great time! The best part of this home is the humongous screened in porch. Even though it was cold and rainy during our stay, we were on that porch under blankets the whole time. There’s a little dock on the canal that is nice to sit on as well. The yard is fenced in with a couple trees for shade/privacy. The house is a very short walk to the beach. We highly recommed this property and the hosts!
