Casastella was a very warm friendly Host. Our bedroom overlooked the Sassi Caves. Our breakfast was a continental variety of sweets, breads and fruit. Excellent Cappuccino and/or tea/coffee with breakfast.
Parking was free within 100 meters of the B&B. We parked our car and walked to restaurants and sites.
She arranged a private tour for us before we arrived of Matera. We enjoyed many good laughs and talks through Google translation. It was so nice after many years to see Casastella who has become a friend to us. My wife and her enjoyed a great reunion.
Most of Italy do not turn the heat on in the rooms until Nov 1.

Beautifully restored old house with comfortable rooms. Super breakfast made by lovely Manuela. Within walking distance from the city centre but away from the noise. Highly recommended
It’s a bit of a walk to the center which was no problem at all for us.
