We had a wonderful stay. Wander Station has a wonderful location right at the heart of the city, close to several important ghats, making it very good to explore Varanasi. We also went on some of the excursions they offered, which were definitely good value.
We had a private room which was basic but spacious and comfortable with (a little noisy but) good airco and important, a good shower.
But what really stood out was the hospitality. The team was incredibly friendly and always ready to help and quickly arrange everything we needed.
Wander Station has a very nice vibe thanks to its whole staff. They went out of their way to help. Like for example Rafiq and Viky carrying out our heavy bags all the way to the main street. Thanks again guys 😉

Groovy backpacker vibe slap bang in Varanasi chaos, but with welcome extra comforts like hot showers and super helpful staff. Excellent “sushi restaurant“ down lane.

Location is nice - close to a popular ghat. Yet it is in a relatively quiet area. Room & bathroom were quite clean. Staff is helpful. After check out they helped us in carrying our luggage to the main road which was a bit far. Thoughtful of them to place a hot water kettle in a common area for anyone to use. High speed wi-fi.
To reach the hotel you have to move thro a short 'tunnel' which remains dark & generally dirty. Rooms are very small - it is in fact difficult to move around. Bathroom too is very small. Bathroom had leaky taps. TV in the room was not working. Bed has soft mattress. Rooms are quite basic. Not a good value for money. For half the cost you can get similar rooms in that area. Don't expect any sound proofing in the rooms.
