I had a really great time at Huhuru House. I personally enjoyed the quiet, it really made me slow down. The community kitchen is perfect, if you want a bit more flexibility on food. The house is absolutely beautiful, it looks exactly like on the photos. As a female solo-traveler, security is always really important to me. I felt really safe there. Khamis always took good care of the house and the people staying there. I would totally recommend a stay there!
It's a bit off the path, but it didn't bother me at all. Quite the contrary, it made it even more quiet.

Hururu House surprised us with its beauty! The traditional-style house is truly well-maintained down to the last detail, very clean, and equipped with every comfort (including a record player with vintage vinyls!). The garden is lush and impeccably maintained.
We highly recommend spending a day of complete relaxation among the palm trees, by the pool, and in the ocean breeze!
The property has parking, but the nearest beach is an easy 5- to 10-minute walk away.
Our groundskeeper, Khamis, was always discreet and available at any time of day or night to assist us with any request. His smile made our vacation even more enjoyable!

The accommodation is beautiful and I had a lovely stay. The area is very quiet and even though it's not quite at the beach, you can easily walk there. I enjoyed a swim in the pool every night and slept very well in my comfy bed. The host, Justin, is very friendly and even showed me around Watamu. I definitely recommend staying there!
There is no breakfast, lunch or dinner at the accommodation. As there is a communal kitchen, this is not a problem but people should know as this must've changed recently.

It was stylishly furnished, the garden is lovely, pool is clean. Breakfast is excellent.
The shared kitchen could do with a bit more attention and many of the kitchen items were missing from the list described. The host who lives at the property is negative, her comments can be borderline racist and unprofessional. Furthermore, she insulted me and spoke to me in a unacceptable manner despite of the fact that the misunderstanding arose to due to her communication error.
