Our First Homestay Experience in Vietnam 🇻🇳❤️
LAN UYEN was our very first homestay experience in Vietnam, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to homestay life.
The location was amazing, and the value for the price was excellent. It was such a convenient place to stay for exploring Hoi An, and we felt we got so much more than what we paid for - especially with the level of care and help we received throughout our stay.
Our room was also in a location where we had absolutely no issues with noise. There was some construction happening nearby during our stay, but we genuinely didn’t hear anything from our room. And even if there had been some noise, we think it’s important to understand that construction workers are simply doing their jobs and need to work to earn a living. It’s outside of the homeowners’ control and shouldn’t take away from an otherwise wonderful stay.
What really made our stay special was Mrs Thuy. She was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for us. She helped organise everything we wanted to do - from activities and recommendations, to our pick-ups and drop-offs, organising our train tickets, and even arranging our last minute transport back to Hoi An after our trip to Hue.
She made everything so easy and stress-free, and we always felt like we had someone looking out for us. She gave us so many wonderful recommendations and was always happy to help.
More than anything, LAN UYEN had such a warm, welcoming, family-like atmosphere. We didn’t just feel like guests; we genuinely felt cared for.
Thank you so much to Mrs Thuy and the family for making our first homestay experience in Vietnam so memorable. We would absolutely recommend LAN UYEN and would happily stay here again. ❤️🇻🇳
That we didn’t stay longer.😭

Awesome location in Hoi An. Literally steps from the river and all of the sites you want to see. Set back off the main roads so it’s quiet. All of the nightlife is one block away. Night market is one block away.
Had to pay cash upon checking out. We assumed cards would be accepted.

Exceptional stay. Everyone in the homestay is very sweet. The location is absolutely convenient. The breakfast is one of the trip highlights. I had visited 3 years before by myself and now returned with my family.
Everything was amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at Ulen Homestay in Hanoi! Everything exceeded our expectations and truly felt like a top-star experience. The location is perfect — very convenient and close to many tourist spots, cafés, and local attractions, making it easy to explore the city.
The place was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and the staff were very kind and accommodating throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and felt at home during our trip.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hanoi. We would definitely stay here again!
THANK YOU SO MUCH ULEN HOMESTAY!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
