Another great stay

Second stay here. Large clean room and great location. Ok breakfast included but other choices can pay for. New swimming pool is a great addition. Good people good choice.

Bon emplacement à côté de la plage et très bonne piscine.

Pas d'eau chaude, pas d'intimité dans la douche car ouverte sur l'extérieur. La moustiquaire ne nous protégeait pas des moustiques. Location des planches de surf 2x plus chères que les autres boutiques sur la plage. Notre logement était à côté du passage donc nuisances sonores et zéro intimité si nous laissons la fenêtre ouverte. Excréments d'oiseaux sur le lavabo.

We likee our stay here. For a surfers its perfect place

+ Location is perfect,direct at a beach + pool is perfect,without open time,you can swim whenever you want :) and water is warm + they rent also surfs and provide joga lessons or surf lessons + there are sunbeds with umbrella on a beach and at the pool,what is really fine + breakfast are also fine (but you need to wait for a breakfast sometimes more then 30minutes) + facility arround hotel is stylish

- they dont clean rooms automaticly,maybe you neeed to ask for it… - I missed bedside tables in a room -We also missed electric kettle - In description is written that in the rooms are safety box,but there arent.

Great stay!

The location was ideal, towards the end of the bay with easy access to everything. The Greens Rooms offered surf lessons, board hire and helped with organising a day trip. 10/10. I stayed in one of the cabanas and it was beautiful! Symon the dog is a great member of the team. Breakfast was delicious. Loved the pool!

Using the bathroom in the cabana when it was raining heavily in the middle of the night wasn't ideal! I would have found it useful to have a hook for a towel by the shower. Also a little more storage and perhaps and chair in the room.

great location right in front of the beach. We had a beautiful beach view from our balcony. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly.

Our room didn’t get cleaned during our stay and the wifi only worked in the reception area.

Best accommodation for my surfing vacation!

Very friendly and helpful staff! Great location and awesome vibe. Comfortable rooms and good relaxation area. Fantastic place for singles, families or couples.

we loved our cabana soo much, we regret we couldn't stay longer. guys who works there are nice and cute. breakfast is fine. bed was comfortable. outdoor toilet is cool. mosquito net was perfectly clean as anywhere in lanka :-) place is quite and peaceful ( except crows haha ).

i would definitly come back!

there is everything in the room what you need. the bathroom is „outside“ whats very lovely cause its warm all the time :) the breakfast was really good, you can decide from different dishes. Also during the day you can eat there, the menu is big and the food is very good. the prices are very friendly! the staff was super nice!

the room is kind of dark even with the light ob.

Perfect location at the beach. Excellent breakfast with variety of fresh fruits (the best we had in Sri Lanka). Very friendly and professional stuff, comfortable rooms/cabanas wth balcony and nice view. But what really impressed me was the host - very friendly and helpful for everything, a problem solver if needed. Special thanks for all the assistance he granted! I recommend this place!

Did not get the room we booked

The location (away from the most crowded part of the beach) is great, we really liked the surfing lessons, and the cabanas look beautiful.

Despite our confirmed booking, we were told on arrival that our cabana was not in use because the stairs were broken. We were offered a room in the accommodation next door (Savi's place) for a lower price and accepted. The next day we saw other people using the cabana with the broken stairs, so we're not sure what happened there exactly. All in all we had a good time here, but guests should keep in mind that they might not actually get the room they booked on Booking.com.

Best place to stay for surfing

Wonderful place right in front of the surf. Best part of the beach to stay and the staff are great. The rooms are perfect. Please make friends with the light brown skinny beach dog who lives there, she gets really sad without fuss :(

The location is the best one in Weligama I would say. Right in front of the main surf point. Away from traffic noise but still in the centre. The owner is really nice and the staff as well. Cool facilities!

The food there is not the best, they have some approvements here. But theres a lot of good places to go in the area. So the location makes up for it.

Surf Hotel

Imagine that a bunch of surfers start a hotel by the beach - this is the green rooms. We booked a cabana close to the beach. The best thing about this place is the location and the possibilities that comes along with that. A lot of other surf-hostels/hotels are located at the wrong side of the busy road that goes trough Weligama! There weren’t that many ppl booking surf lessons so we’ve managed to get a private surf instructor every day. The cost for 1 hour was 2500 LKR, about 12-13 euros. Renting a board was about 300LKR/hour if you wanna surf by yourself. Along the beach they had really nice home made relax areas in the shade. They also had a kitchen and served a really nice breakfast, you can eat all meals there but there’s a lot of nice restaurants in town from walking distance. The place is located a bit off - but it’s only a good thing since you’ve got most of the beach for yourself and around 5-10 min walk to the good restaurants.

As they say on there website - this ain’t a high maintenance place. It’s very laid back - so if you don’t like that - don’t book here. But if you’re into surfing and want a good place with chill staff - book here. In other words, you pay for the location. The mosquitoes are awful, super tiny and live in the cabanas! Bring a load of bug repellent and cortisone cream!

Located a few hundred meters from the more crowded parts of the beach it is still central but not crowded. Great place to surf or just to relax.
