Nice option close to airport for a short stay.

Nice heritage property right next to the Periyar river. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food is great. Around 30 minutes from airport during the day.

Out of the way if you want to roam around Kochi.

Amazing close to airport hotel

Beautiful property and room with 4 poster bed. Free airport shuttle. Excellent food. Wish we could have stayed longer but only airport stop over. Gardens and views fabulous

Conveyor the airport

The property was very conveniently located 15 mins from the airport. This removed all the stress for our very early flight. The gardens were beautiful.

The property was very tired and didn’t feel that clean.

A great place to relax and unwind.

Set on beautiful grounds, with a gorgeous swimming pool, this hotel is very comfortable and clean. It sets a high standard. The real stars of the place are the staff. We were taken care of by Allen who was consistently professional and kind.

Relaxing and airy hotel near Cochin airport.

Lovely quiet countryside hotel 15 minutes from Cochin airport. Huge room, comfy beds and the best shower(hot water runs immediately). The garden and pool are great too

Handy budget retreat with a pool near airport

Pleasant gardens, separate units of rooms in villas. River View. Helpful staff. Large room, good bathroom. Great free airport shuttle!

Swampy smell near the pool area.. Much of the restaurant menu was unavailable. Check for noisy events before booking...though music stopped by 10pm

Totally gorgeous with every comfort

Such a beautiful place close to the airport; the room was gorgeous and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Large tv with Netflix was great. Really nice little pool. We loved the restaurant, the staff were so helpful and the complimentary airport transfer was a bonus.

Beautiful place to stay, lovely room with its own veranda overlooking nutmeg trees and the river

I loved this hotel. Even though it was near a busy road, the grounds and my room were quiet and peaceful, just what I needed after a busy two weeks travelling in Kerala to prepare for my long flight home. Food also excellent.

The floor tiles in the shower in the bathroom were a bit slippery. A mat in the shower would have greatly helped me feel safer.

Perfect to relax belore the big flight home.

Beautiful huge gardens full of fruit and nutmeg trees and a lovely pool. We had a lovely big room and the bathrooms were very modern. Great place to relax in a tranquil environment before flying home to New Zealand. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Perfect to relax and go or come to airport

Wonderful installations, close to airport and close to a nice restaurant. The service was fantastic Free transport to the airport

Could be cleaner. The toilet trash was oxidated and the corners of bathroom must be scrapped. Looks like they do general cleaning but not properly , just what the eye sees at first

Good place to stay near Cochin airport and reasonably priced.

It has lovely 3 acre grounds overlooking the river and the location near the airport is good. Room was comfortable and the meals at the restaurant good.

Lovely place to rest up after a long flight.

Lovey room, nice pool, tranquil and staff that go the extra mile. It’s close to the airport (15 mins) by cab. The location is, however, proper rural, so no places to saunter to at night.

Nice place, great staff, great food. Definitively worth of visiting.

Indian-style breakfasts, with their diverse selection of curries, offered us a flavourful and satisfying start to the day. The blend of spices and textures provides a unique culinary experience. These breakfasts showcase a rich cultural tapestry and culinary expertise, celebrating the essence of global flavours and heritage. "Once Upon the River" was an exceptional hotel experience. Nestled within a sprawling semi-like tropical forest park, its location was a serene oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the surrounding busy area. The staff at the hotel were incredibly eager to assist, providing impeccable service with a warm and welcoming demeanour. Despite being situated in a lively location, the tranquillity of the hotel made it a peaceful retreat, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and accessibility.

We enjoyed the whole experience. I just couldn't ask for anything more.

excellent European standards at India's prices

A crown jewel for an airport hotel .. wish I had stayed 2 nights . Staff very pleasant and extremely helpful , restaurant food was excellent and wide choice . Service perfect . Grounds were green and lush, swimming pool was perfect. Reliable complimentary Airport shuttle at3am .. all in the price of the room . Can't go wrong ,

That I didn't get there earlier and make more use of the comfort and facilities.

Beautiful setting. The entrance does not give away the wonderful property. Independent bungalows set among a local fruit orchard and overlooking the river. Lots of parking facilities. Excellent staff service. Delbreakfast spread and dinner options.

It’s a paradise that keeps you happy and healthier.

It’s a wonderful and beautiful place to stay especially when you really needed to have a break. The whole environment is full of happiness with nature. Unfortunately our trip was just two days and would definitely be back soon.

Over all dissapointing.. Low value for money

The hotel had a decent amount of greenery, but the property itself was average. Unfortunately, I didn't feel that the hotel offered good value for the money spent. The bed was comfortable, but it was disappointing to discover that an additional bed came with an extra cost. Furthermore, there were additional charges for an extra person, as well as an extra fee for the additional bed. Overall, the hotel seemed overpriced considering the amenities and services provided.

One major issue I encountered during my stay was a lack of trust from the hotel staff. Unlike my previous experiences at numerous other hotels, this particular hotel required me to wait until they checked the room before granting me access. Additionally, they collected the payment upfront, which gave the impression that they did not trust their guests. It would have been better if they allowed guests to see the room before making any payments or commitments. Overall, the hotel's value for the money paid was quite low, considering the lack of trust and the overall experience.

While the property has a fantastic location the hotel has not at developed the riverfront. Instead it is a dumpyard for fallen leaves and other debris. I was deeply disappointed by this because the usp of this hotel is the river and one cannot go anywhere near it because they have closed access to the river. I understand security concerns but they can provide access in a responsible way and also beautify the river front.

Lovely and relaxing. Will definitely come back!

Friendly staff- very helpful. The serenity and quietness of the place . Very relaxing environment, great view of the river and property is surrounded by trees and is very green. Eco-friendly living. Clean surroundings.

The room needed maintenance. Bathroom needed painting, rusty metal bin needed changing and the bucket was dirty etc. Also, I was charged more money than what I have reserved for. But they picked us up from the airport , so it was still value for money
