This was our second stay in Cala Cuncheddi. Last year we have spent there 10 days at the end of May and were delighted by the scenic landscape, the beach and the friendly staff. So we have decided to return which we did this year at the beginning of September.
For both years the quality of breakfast , quite poor for such a hotel. For instance last year it was a complete lack of fresh vegetables. This year there were some.... And very strange no olives at all, which is very uncommon for Italy/Sardinia.
The main displeasure was caused by the introduction of 2 'discretionary' taxes one of 5% for the whole price of the room including HB and one of 15% for the extras. For us the total amounted to approx 600 Euro, for 7 days, which is in my opinion a hidden price increase.

Very cut off, the doors were not sound proofed and it was impossible to sleep with all the noise, people speaking and banging of doors in the hallway especially early morning. It’s like the people were in the room with you.
The shower kept leaking water after use and so you keep hearing dripping water every 5 minutes.
The decor is a bit cold and bare. Not cosy at all.
Parking is inadequate and you end up parking in a dusty field because of lack of space.
