Liked the overall size of the Granary, liked the fact you can let your dogs out in a secure area, however be aware that the front entrance area is shared with another property named The Stables so the gate access can be found open on occasion as there are no signs to inform visitors to keep gate closed etc. There is also an area of secure field across the road which I don’t think was mentioned in the description?
The fact that you are sharing access with another property, caught a visitor staring into our window? The shared hot tub is booked via a chalk board on the main gate to that area, which resides in the grounds of the Granary? The hot tub roof is in need of repair and the general area needs a de-weed etc, there is no cleaning schedule to advise users of when this hot tub was last cleaned or when the water was last tested etc. Stairs are incredibly creaky so require some attention. Upstairs doors are heavy wooden type with cast iron latches, however they require adjustment to close correctly from both sides. Bathroom shower is great but the head needs to be changed so that it points more into the bath rather than jetting across the bath onto floor or the wall where there are no tiles. This will help stop any water damage. The main bedroom bed is also creaking.

Very clean, owners lovely, good size for a family of four, located well for local walks in the Forest of Dean.
It was a shared hot tub, which wasn’t stated anywhere in booking ( booked time slots- not sharing with others at the same time , The beds were very soft with no support, sofa very uncomfortable so didn’t gain the quality sleep/rest that we needed to recharge. The house was very noisy with creaking floor boards and stairs. It was very dated and needs some attention to detail.

Lovely and peaceful. Owner very welcoming and good sense of humour. Shops just around the corner. Duvets are heaven.
The single beds weren't ideal for an elderly person but owner was more than happy to help so we could improvise.

Good location
The twin beds were sleigh beds so mattresses, though very comfortable, sank in to the frame making it uncomfortable to sit on. Cooker was dirty inside
